3% reservation for Persons with Disability will be applicable for the above mentioned vacancies. For Arts
subjects (Tamil, English, History and Geography) 2% reservation for Visually Impaired candidates and 1%
reservation for Physically Challenged candidates will be provided. For Science subjects (Physics,
Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) 3% reservation will be provided for Physically Challenged candidates. 20%
reservation on preferential basis for persons who studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) will be followed as
per existing Government Orders. This reservation is subject to the availability of suitable eligible
candidates. In the event of non-availability of such candidates the posts reserved for PSTM
candidates will be filled by General candidates.

Note: For the above mentioned vacancies, 40 % vacancies will be reserved for persons who studied
B.Ed Special Education with specialization in Visual Impairment. 40 % vacancies will be reserved for
persons who studied B.Ed Special Education with specialization in Hearing Impairment. 20 %
vacancies will be reserved for persons who studied B.Ed Special Education with specialization in
Mental Retardation. 20% reservation on preferential basis for persons who studied in Tamil
Medium (PSTM) will be followed as per existing Government Orders. This reservation is subject to
the availability of suitable eligible candidates. In the event of non-availability of such
candidates the posts reserved for PSTM candidates will be filled by General candidates.

Qualifications:

1) Age limit : Not more than 57 years of age as on 01-07-2017.

2) Educational Qualification:

Candidate should possess the qualifications from a recognized

university as detailed below or equivalent thereto, subject to various
specifications in the relevant service rules.
The qualification prescribed for the posts should have been obtained
by passing the required qualification in the order of studies 10th + HSC or
its equivalent + UG degree + B.Ed. degree.

Candidates should possess B.A/B.Sc degree in the relevant subject
from a recognized university with B.Ed degree in Special Education from
recognized university. The qualification prescribed for the posts should have
been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies
10th + HSC or its equivalent + UG degree + B.Ed degree. The B.Ed. (Special
Education) degree should be obtained with specialization in VI (Visual Impairment)
/ HI (Hearing Impairment) / MR (Mental Retardation).

Selection Procedure

The Board has decided to select the candidates for the direct
recruitment of Graduate Assistants for the notified vacancies from the
2012, 2013 & 2014-TNTET qualified candidates after verifying their
eligibility. Therefore, there is no need to apply separately for this
recruitment. Only those candidates who were previously selected by the
board for B.T Assistant post but did not join the service and who wish for
their candidature to be considered now for this recruitment may download
the application form from the TRB website and submit the same to TRB in
person on or before 10.05.2017. Applications received after this date will
not be considered at any cost.

To begin with, TRB will prepare the list of candidates to be called for
CV on a 1:1 ratio basis, for the vacancies notified herein, based on the
details uploaded by the candidates through the online updation process as
well as the available C.V data with TRB and by incorporating the list of
previously selected candidates who did not join the service and who have
now submitted application for consideration till 10.05.2017, duly following
communal rotation and other relevant rules in vogue.

I. Certificate Verification:

The Board has already given an opportunity vide notice dated:

07.03.2017 to all those candidates who secured the minimum qualifying
marks in previous TNTET Examinations to verify their details available with
the TRB. However, evidences for the claims made by the candidates in the
online entry should be submitted by the candidates at the time of certificate
verification. CV is done only to verify the eligibility of the claims made by
the candidates in the online updation / available CV data with TRB. It is
made clear that inviting a candidate to Certificate Verification is meant only
for the express purpose of confirming the eligibility of the candidate and
ensuring the correctness of the previous CV data available with the
TRB/updation made by the candidate through the online process. Only
after the confirmation of the claims made by the candidate, the board will
start the actual selection process.

II. Preparation of Provisional Merit List:

After certificate verification, a merit list will be prepared from the

eligible candidates based on the current certificate verification details by
awarding weightage marks as per G.O Ms No. 71, SE(TRB), Dated:
30.05.2014.

III. Preparation of Provisional Selection List:

Provisional Selection list for the notified vacancies will be prepared

from the above said merit list duly following communal rotation and other
relevant rules in vogue.
