Introduction
Being a student at Shenzhou Open University of TCM means studying at one of the
most influential institutes of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Netherlands.
All of our three-years TCM-programmes, combined with our one-year Western medicine
programme, have been fully accredited by the independent accreditation organization
SNRO, with 240 EC according to the newest higher professional education standards (HBO).
In 2017 Shenzhou became an International Education Base of WFAS (World Federation of

Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies), being the only one in the Netherlands. In January
2018, we began cooperating with the Nanjing University of TCM and have since developed
a Master’s and PhD programme for postgraduate studies of professional TCM practitioners.

Als student aan Shenzhou Open University of TCM studeer je aan een van de meest
invloedrijke opleidingsinstituten voor Traditionele Chinese Geneeskunde in Nederland.
Al onze 3-jarige TCM-opleidingen - in combinatie met de opleiding Medische

Basiskennis van 1 jaar - zijn met 240 EC geaccrediteerd door het onafhankelijke
accreditatieorgaan SNRO. Accreditatie houdt in dat de opleiding voldoet aan de

In 2017 werd Shenzhou het Internationale opleidingsplatform van de ‘World Federation

Director’s Letter
Thank you for your interest in Shenzhou Open University of TCM. More than thirty
years ago, I opened an acupuncture clinic in Utrecht. After four years, in 1990, I
established the European TCM and Acupuncture Advanced Training Centre (ETAATC),
now known as Shenzhou Open University of TCM. Expanding the company’s
activities resulted in a move to our present location in Amsterdam. As one of the
best TCM educational institutes in the Netherlands, we offer a unique curriculum in
2 Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tuina and other traditional Chinese therapies. Our
university and graduates take pride in the outstanding reputation that we have
accomplished in the TCM field based on education experience of almost thirty years.
We have tailored our courses to students’ needs, by designing them according to a part-time
model, enabling you to study alongside your job and family commitments. Our professional
doctors of Chinese Medicine teach medical knowledge alongside work work safety during
clinical practice. Attention is also given to shape students’ professional behavior during
practice, as well as responsibilities and compassion for the patient. We strive to teach our
students to have a high standard of ethics and safety in conduct in their future occupation.

The mission of Shenzhou Open University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) is to educate students in accordance with the highest professional
requirements. We prepare our future clinicians by practicing patient
centered medicine and helping them to identify the fundamental questions
in the mechanism, prevention and treatment of disease as well as teaching
4 the basic concepts of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.
Shenzhou Open University of TCM offers various courses as well as internships

and has a diversity of international students and staff members. We encourage
mutual respect among the lecturers, students, staff, trainees and patients whilst
demanding high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
Shenzhou Open University of TCM is the academic leader in TCM undergraduate,

postgraduate and professional continuation of education in the Netherlands and
Europe. With this, Shenzhou Open University of TCM makes a positive contribution

Accreditation
All our TCM-programs have been fully accredited by the
independent accreditation organization SNRO with 200 EC
according to the newest higher professional education standards
(HBO). Together with our SNRO accredited Western Medicine
courses this leads to a total of 240 EC. This enables our graduates
to operate at the same level as HBO bachelor graduates in the
Dutch health care system as well as being able to give VAT free
health treatments.
The educational program of Chinese Medicine at Shenzhou Open

University of TCM has been accredited by all related professional
associations in the Netherlands including: NVA, NAAV, ZHONG,
TCMned, VNT, NWP and FAGT.
Furthermore, we are a member of the “Federatie van Opleidingen

in de Natuurlijke Geneeswijzen” (FONG), the “Collectief
Geaccrediteerde Opleidingen” (CGO) and are registered at the
“Centraal register Kort Beroepsonderwijs” (CRKBO). The latter
implies that no VAT is charged on our tuition fee.
All the above-mentioned acknowledgements make Shenzhou

Open University of TCM one of the most influential institutes of
Chinese Medicine in the Netherlands.

Study process
Language and Communication
In order to be able to follow the classes, a professional level of the
English or Dutch language is required.
Please provide us with your current e-mail address for our staff to
communicate with you. You must possess basic computer skills to
enable you to study on-line (E-learning), type reports, etc.
Attendance and Study Load

We highly value the educational contact between teacher and
student, therefore student’s attendance of a minimum of 80% of
the lectures is mandatory for all our courses. Besides attending
classes (12 hours per month), students are required to do self-study,
participate in study groups and apprenticeship with a total of
about 5 times the amount of contact hours.
Lecture days
The 20 lecture days of TCM courses are scheduled in 10 blocks
and are given approximately once per month on Saturdays and
Sundays (with occasional exceptions).
The 23 lecture days of the WM courses are scheduled on Fridays

and Saturdays or Saturdays and Sundays.
All schedules will be displayed on the website.

During this course students are taught the
basic concepts of traditional Chinese medicine
and are introduced to Chinese philosophy
which forms the cornerstones of TCM.

The class of Foundations of Chinese Medicine consists of basic

theories such as Yin Yang and Five Elements, Zang Fu theory, TCM
etiology, pathology and diagnosis. This class is an important bridge
from theory to clinic.
In addition to the teacher contact hours you will work together

with your fellow students in a Literature study group and practice
together in the Interactive Practice groups. Already after a few
months of theoretical training you can start to do apprenticeships
in our clinic or at one of the clinics approved by Shenzhou Open
University of TCM.

This vocational training course in acupuncture
prepares students for their career as acupuncturists
at professional level. Students will be introduced

modern development of TCM.

points as well as on the needling techniques, while during the second
year practical treatments of various diseases are put into attention.
Students are required to write a thesis to finish their final year.

acupuncture class, the amount of apprenticeship hours will gradually
increase to help you practice independently in your future TCM

Chinese Herbal
Medicine
The herbal medicine class introduces students in the

knowledge of Chinese herbs and trains them to run
a practice independently as well as to work safely,
competently and effectively.

DURATION: 2 YEARS
In China, the study of herbal medicine is integrated in the TCM

education. Acupuncture therapy and Chinese herbs together
not only complement each other, but also reinforce each other.

In the West, this study is often followed after the completion of the
acupuncture course. The advantage is that the Chinese medical
concepts are already integrated, making the study of Chinese
herbs more tangible.
In addition to the teacher contact hours you work together with

fellow students in a Literature study group and practice together in
the Interactive Practice groups. During the first year of the Herbal
Medicine course, the apprenticeship takes place mainly at the
herbal dispensary preparing herbal prescriptions, whilst the second
year apprenticeship takes place with herbal specialists. In the
second and final year, students write a thesis about the subject as
part of the course programme.

Tuina
During this course students are taught different
techniques and applications of Tuina massage.
This ancient technique of manipulation originating

from China is applicable to various diseases. A solid
knowledge of meridians and acupoints is necessary.
Tuina massage is suitable for all adults and works
especially well in children.

DURATION: 2 YEARS
The course takes 2 years to complete. After the completion of the 15

first year of acupuncture class, students can directly enroll to the
Tuina class of one year.
In addition to teacher contact hours, students are required to

practice the Tuina techniques with fellow students during the
interactive practice. During clinical apprenticeship, students get
the opportunity to learn form experienced Tuina therapists as well.
Students are required to write a thesis to finish their final year.

This intensive training in Western medicine is
designed for anyone that is studying physically
based complementary medicine in order to
gain knowledge in anatomy, physiology and
pathology at a professional level.

Hormones
An optional in-house 2-day training in First Aid, BLS and AED is advised
according to the requirements of related professional associations
in the Netherlands. After completing the 2-day training a European
accredited Red Cross diploma is issued. This 2-day training is offered in
our seminar programme and is not included in the Western Medicine
tuition fee.

Shenzhou Open University of TCM offers postgraduate programmes

in corporation with Nanjing University of Chinese medicine (NJUCM).
Students have the opportunity to study Master’s and PhD degree
programmes to further deepen their knowledge and expand their
clinical experience in specific areas of TCM.
The postgraduate programmes will further build the bridge between both
theoretical and clinical practice and connect the relationship between Chinese and
Western Medicine.
Approved by the NJUCM

The Master`s and PhD degree programmes are approved by the NJUCM in line with
regulations issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
Students who have completed the Master`s or PhD degree programme and passed
their thesis defense, will obtain a Master`s academic degree or PhD academic
degree title, issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China
and obtain a Master’s or PhD diploma issued by NJUCM.
Study Programme
The postgraduate programme encourages the student to develop
a deep understanding of TCM that makes it second nature in the
graduates’ personal and professional lives. The degree programme
will further deepen the student’s TCM knowledge and improves
their practical and diagnostic, as well as their theoretical research
skills.
The programmes offer a mixture of contact and online self-study

modules. Both programmes provide students with access to top
lecturers and world-renowned supervisors, enabling the student to
develop their chosen specialization.
Study Duration
The Master`s and PhD programmes are both 3 years part-time
studies.
Visit to NJUCM, China

Throughout the three-year degree, students are required to visit
NJUCM in China two times, each time for about 3 weeks. During
the trips, students will attend seminars and gain clinical experience
as well as prepare for their thesis and thesis defence.

All lecturers at Shenzhou Open University of TCM have a
rich experience in both clinical practice and education. All
our lecturers from China hold a TCM degree at university
level and a medical license issued by the China’s Ministry of

Medicine a mandatory reader. Extended syllabi will be
distributed during the course via the student-site.

Practical training
and Externships
Starting from the basic year during the class of Foundations
of Chinese Medicine students will be trained in case analysis,
acupuncture techniques or Tuina manipulation according to the
course of their choice. In addition, students need to complete
extended mandatory clinical training as well.

The clinic
Shenzhou offers a unique opportunity to all students of Shenzhou
Open University of TCM by letting students complete a quota
of their apprenticeship hours in our affiliated clinic as part of
their course without any payments. Our practitioners of Chinese
Medicine at Shenzhou clinic have a broad experience in the areas
of Acupuncture, Tuina and Herbal Medicine.
External apprenticeships
Students of Shenzhou Open University can choose to do a part of
their apprenticeship as well with TCM practitioners who have been
accredited by Shenzhou Open University. Please visit our website
for more information.
International Apprenticeships
Shenzhou Open University of TCM has established a partnership
with Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China. Students
can choose to do apprenticeship at one of the affiliated teaching

Shenzhou Open University of TCM frequently organizes seminars with a broad
choice of topics of excellent quality.
New developments in TCM and topics suggested by our participants, motivate

us to continually search for new interesting subjects for our seminars. In order
to give our students and alumni the opportunity to engage with the newest
TCM topics and developments, we often invite well-known doctors and

All our seminars are accredited by the relevant professional associations

and are announced in the Dutch TCM magazines and websites under
‘nascholingen’. You can find the seminar programme and status of

Tuition fee, Exam fee

and Payments
The costs for your first registration as a student of Shenzhou is
€ 95,-. The tuition fee is € 1.900,- per year and counts for all annual
courses at Shenzhou Open University of TCM.* If you combine
two studies (provided the schedule allows it, e.g. TCM course
and Western Medicine course) you will need to pay the tuition
fee twice. It is not allowed to take two course years of one study
during one academic year (e.g. Acupuncture 1st year and 2nd
year). Distributed syllabi are included in the tuition fee. Books and
some readers are not included.
* This is the tuition fee for the 2019-2020 study year. Subsequent study year
tuition fees may be adjusted in line with inflation.
Exam Fee for students of Shenzhou

The first exam and first re-exam are without any extra costs. The
costs for a second re-take exam are € 100,-.
External candidates

26 Payments
Students who are admitted to the course and are registered
successfully will receive an invoice. The invoice has to be paid
within 30 days according to our ‘General Sales & Delivery
Conditions’. Partial payment is not possible.
Late payments will be charged € 50,- for administration costs.
Cancellation
We only accept cancellations in written form. If cancelled up to
14 days before the start of the course, only the registration costs
will be charged. If cancelled within 14 days before the start of the
course and the start of the course, 50% of the tuition fee will be
charged.
There is no refund for cancellations after the start of the course.
Refunds
With exception of the cancellation policy, tuition fees will not
be reimbursed, except in extreme cases where participants are
unable to attend the course due to serious accidents, illness or
death. In those cases, the participant or legal representative can
request a refund from the office in writing up to three weeks after
the start of the training.
Registration costs are not refundable after two weeks of student’s

registration.

Upon your first registration at Shenzhou, registration costs of
€ 95,- will be charged. You need to register anew for each year and
you will only need to pay for the registration costs once.

We advise you to register before 15th of July 2019. For registration
after this date, please contact the study coordinators to find
out if participation is still possible. Depending on the number of
registrations, the school reserves the right to cancel the course.
Unforeseen changes
Shenzhou Open University of TCM reserves the right to amend the
policies.

理念和使命
神州中医大学的使命是按照最高的专业标准教育学生，为学生将来成

中医课程每学年二十天,课程安排在每年九月至来年六月，共十个月，
每月一个周末（星期六和星期天）。
一年的西医课程安排了二十三天面授课，在每年九月至来年六月或七

Voorwoord van de directeur

Hartelijk dank voor uw interesse in Shenzhou Open University of TCM. Meer dan dertig
jaar geleden zette ik in Utrecht een acupunctuurkliniek op. Een kleine vier jaar later,
in 1990, was de oprichting van het European TCM and Acupuncture Advanced Training
Center (ETAATC), heden Shenzhou Open University of TCM, een feit. Deze uitbreiding van
de activiteiten maakte verhuizen naar onze huidige locatie in Amsterdam noodzakelijk.
Als een van de hoogst aangeschreven opleidingsinstituten voor Traditionele Chinese
Geneeskunde (TCG) in Nederland bieden wij een uniek curriculum in Acupunctuur,
Chinese Kruidenleer, Tuina en andere traditionele Chinese behandelwijzen. Met bijna
dertig jaar onderwijservaring hebben we een uitstekende reputatie in ons vakgebied
opgebouwd, waar zowel de school als onze alumni trots op zijn.
Al onze opleidingen worden deeltijd gegeven, wat studeren naast werk en gezin mogelijk
maakt. Onze professionele TCG artsen brengen de studenten niet alleen medische kennis
en veilige werkwijzen bij, maar creëren ook een authentieke sfeer, zowel in het klaslokaal
als tijdens de stages in de kliniek. Er ligt een sterke nadruk op onberispelijk, professioneel
gedrag in de kliniek en op een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en compassie jegens de
patiënt. Studenten die het hoogste academische niveau hebben bereikt in hun studiejaar
worden beloond met de “Excellent Student Prize”.
Het academische jaar 2018-2019 was een zeer succesvol jaar voor Shenzhou Open
University of TCM. De internationale samenwerking werd geïntensiveerd: veel topexperts
van verschillende TCM-disciplines uit China en andere landen hebben bij Shenzhou Open
University lezingen en seminars verzorgd. Onze instelling wordt alom geprezen door
TCM-professionals uit Nederland en Europa, onder meer omdat wij in samenwerking met
‘s werelds toonaangevende en eersteklas universiteit van China - Nanjing University of
Traditional Chinese Medicine - TCM Master- en PhD-programma’s mogelijk maken. We
kijken dan ook met trots en vertrouwen uit naar het nieuwe academische jaar 2019-2020.

Visie en Missie
Het is de missie van Shenzhou Open University of TCM om studenten
op te leiden tot patiëntgerichte behandelaars volgens de hoogste
professionele standaarden. Daarnaast willen wij fundamentele
vragen stellen over de mechanismen, de preventie en behandeling
van ziekte. Daarmee willen wij bijdragen aan het leveren van goede
gezondheidszorg en de ontwikkeling van kennis van de Chinese en
Westerse Geneeskunde.
Shenzhou Open University of TCM munt (inter)nationaal uit als een

academische instelling op het gebied van voortgezette beroepsopleidingen
en klinische stages met daarop aansluitende Master en PhD programma’s.
Daarmee wil Shenzhou Open University of TCM een positieve bijdrage leveren
aan de gemeenschap op het gebied van preventie en een veilige en effectieve
behandeling van ziekten.
Shenzhou Open University of TCM biedt diverse opleidingen en stages en kent

een diversiteit aan studenten en stafleden. We verwachten wederzijds respect
tussen docenten, studenten, staf, stagiaires en patiënten. We richten ons op
ethisch verantwoord en professioneel gedrag.
Om dit te bereiken, houden wij het professionele niveau van onze opleidingen
op peil door regelmatige evaluaties en brengen wij, waar nodig, verbeteringen
aan. Wij implementeren aanpassingen in onze cursussen die beantwoorden
aan onze eigen hoge standaarden en aan die van de beroepsverenigingen.

Accreditatie
Al onze TCM-opleidingen zijn volledig erkend door het
onafhankelijke accreditatie-orgaan SNRO (Stichting Nederlands
Register voor Opleidingen in het particulier onderwijs). De
opleidingen zijn geaccrediteerd met 200 EC conform de nieuwste
criteria voor het hoger beroepsonderwijs. Samen met onze eveneens
geaccrediteerde opleiding Medische Basiskennis geeft dit een
totaal van 240 EC. Hierdoor kunnen studenten na het behalen van
hun diploma werken op dezelfde basis als afgestudeerden van een
(para)medische HBO-bachelor studie. Dat betekent onder andere
dat men vrijgesteld is van BTW verplichting.
Ons opleidingsprogramma wordt daarnaast door alle relevante
professionele organisaties in Nederland geaccrediteerd, waaronder
de NVA, NAAV, ZHONG, TCMned, VNT, NWP en FAGT.

Verder zijn wij lid van de Federatie van Opleidingen in de

Natuurlijke Geneeswijzen (FONG) en van het Collectief
Geaccrediteerde Opleidingen (CGO). Tevens staat Shenzhou
Open University of TCM geregistreerd bij het Centraal register
Kort Beroepsonderwijs (CRKBO). Dit betekent dat wij aan
de kwaliteitscode van het CRKBO voldoen en dat voor onze
cursusgelden geen BTW-plicht geldt.
Deze brede erkenning maakt Shenzhou Open University of TCM

tot een van de meest invloedrijke instituten voor Traditionele
Chinese Geneeskunde in Nederland.
Studieproces
Talen en communicatie
Om de studie te kunnen volgen, is een professionele
werkvaardigheid van de Engelse of Nederlandse taal vereist.
Daarnaast verwachten wij van iedere student een actueel
e-mailadres en voldoende kennis in het omgaan met computers
en tekstverwerking voor het schrijven van verslagen, scriptie e.d.
Aanwezigheid en studielast
We vinden het onderwijscontact tussen docent en student
heel belangrijk. Daarom geldt er voor de colleges een
aanwezigheidsplicht van 80%. Naast de docentcontacturen
(12 uur per maand) vereist de opleiding zelfstudie, deelname aan
studiegroepen en stages. De verhouding van contacturen tot
zelfstudie-uren is 1 op 5.
Lesdagen
De 20 lesdagen van de TCM-opleidingen worden in 10 blokken
ingeroosterd, ongeveer 1 keer per maand op zaterdag en zondag
(op een enkele uitzondering na).
De 23 lesdagen van de opleiding Medische Basiskennis worden op

vrijdagen en zaterdagen ingeroosterd (en bij uitzondering op een
zondag). Alle roosters worden bekend gemaakt via de website.

tijdens de lessen regelmatig patiënten aanwezig die worden
gediagnosticeerd en behandeld volgens de TCG. Het tweede jaar
sluit je af met het schrijven van een scriptie.

Kruiden-
geneeskunde
Het doel van de opleiding Chinese
Kruidengeneeskunde is om therapeuten op te
leiden die zelfstandig, veilig en effectief het
vak kunnen uitoefenen.

STUDIEDUUR: 2 JAAR
In China vormt de studie van kruidengeneeskunde een integraal

onderdeel van het TCM-onderwijs. Acupunctuur therapie in
combinatie met Chinese kruiden vullen elkaar niet alleen aan,
maar versterken elkaar ook. In het Westen wordt deze studie
vaak gevolgd nadat de studie acupunctuur al is afgerond. Een
bijkomend voordeel hiervan is dat de Chinese medische concepten
al geïntegreerd zijn en daarmee de pittige studie van de Chinese
kruiden toegankelijker wordt.
Naast de docentcontacturen werk je samen met medestudenten

aan praktijkintervisie en literatuurstudie en loop je stage in de
kliniek. Tijdens het eerste jaar volg je de stages grotendeels in
de eigen apotheek. Het tweede jaar stage vindt voornamelijk
plaats in de praktijken van specialisten in de Chinese
Kruidengeneeskunde. Je sluit de studie af met een scriptie.

Tuina
In deze opleiding leer je de technieken van de
Tuinamassage toe te passen en in te zetten bij de
behandeling van veel voorkomende ziektes waarbij
de nadruk ligt op kennis van de meridianen en
acupunctuurpunten. Tuinamassage kan worden
toegepast bij volwassenen en is vooral ook heel
geschikt voor kinderen.

De cursus duurt in totaal 2 jaar. Wie het eerste jaar Acupunctuur

of de gehele studie Acupunctuur heeft afgerond, mag vanaf het
tweede jaar beginnen.

Naast anatomie en pathologie bevat het lesprogramma ook

We combineren de studie van internationale academische
literatuur met een interactieve onderwijsmethode in en buiten de

Master- en PhD
programma
in samenwerking met Nanjing University
of Chinese Medicine
We zijn zeer verheugd dat wij in samenwerking met Nanjing

University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM) een Master- en PhD-
opleiding aan kunnen bieden. De post-graduate opleidingen
zijn afgestemd op TCM-professionals die hun kennis willen
verdiepen en hun klinische ervaring op het gebied van TCM
willen uitbreiden.
Geaccrediteerd door de Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine

De Master- en PhD-programma’s zijn geaccrediteerd door NJUCM volgens
de criteria van het ministerie van Onderwijs van de Volksrepubliek China.
Studenten die de Master of het PhD-programma hebben afgerond en

hun proefschrift met goed gevolg verdedigd hebben, ontvangen een door
NJUCM uitgegeven diploma met de Master- of PhD-titel, welke is verleend
door het Ministerie van Onderwijs van de Volksrepubliek China.

Studieprogramma
Het doel van de Master- en PhD-opleiding is om een diepgaander
begrip van TCM te bewerkstelligen dat geïntegreerd wordt in
het persoonlijke en professionele leven van de afgestudeerde.
De opleiding zal de theoretische kennis verder verdiepen en
de diagnostische, praktische en onderzoeksvaardigheden
bevorderen.
Het onderwijs is opgebouwd in modules en bestaat uit zowel

contactonderwijs als uit E-learning modules. Studenten
krijgen via dit programma toegang tot de beste docenten en
hoog gekwalificeerde supervisoren waardoor zij hun gekozen
specialisatie tot ontplooiing kunnen brengen.
Studieduur
De Master- en PhD-programma’s worden als deeltijdstudie
aangeboden (alleen in het Engels en Chinees) en duren elk
drie jaar.
Bezoek aan NJUCM, China

Tijdens de driejarige opleiding brengen de studenten twee keer
een bezoek aan de NJUCM in China, telkens voor ongeveer drie
weken. Tijdens het verblijf zullen de studenten seminars bijwonen,
klinische ervaring opdoen en zich voorbereiden op het schrijven
van hun scriptie.

Alle docenten bij Shenzhou Open University beschikken over
een rijke ervaring in zowel de klinische praktijk als in het
docentschap. Onze uit China afkomstige docenten hebben
minimaal een Universitaire graad en zijn door het ministerie
van Onderwijs in China erkende artsen.
Om het onderwijsproces optimaal te laten verlopen,

Studenten dienen een aantal boeken aan te schaffen en voor
MBK een verplichte reader. Aanvullende syllabi worden tijdens
de opleiding via de studentensite digitaal beschikbaar gesteld.
We adviseren nog geen boeken aan te schaffen op basis

van onderstaande overzicht. Na inschrijving ontvang je van
de studiecoördinatoren de meest recente boekenlijst met

Praktijktraining en
Stages
Na het Basisjaar Chinese Geneeskunde krijg je naast theoretisch
onderricht ook casusanalyses (zowel klassikaal als in kleine
groepen). Al naar gelang de studiekeuze worden in de klas
Acupunctuur- of Tuinatechnieken aangeleerd en geoefend.
Daarnaast doe je klinische praktijkervaring op tijdens de stage.
De Kliniek
Shenzhou biedt de unieke mogelijkheid - voor alle aan de
opleiding verbonden studenten - om een deel van de stage te
volgen in de aan onze school gelieerde kliniek zonder bijkomende
kosten.
De Traditioneel Chinese Geneeskundigen in onze kliniek hebben

jarenlange ervaring op het gebied van Acupunctuur, Tuina en
Chinese Kruidengeneeskunde.
Externe stages
Als student van Shenzhou Open University of TCM kun je ook
stage lopen bij door de school erkende externe TCG therapeuten.
De school heeft een lijst beschikbaar met geaccrediteerde
supervisoren.
Stage in het buitenland

Shenzhou Open University of TCM heeft een samenwerkings-
verband met De Nanjing Universiteit voor Chinese Geneeskunde.
Je kunt een deel van je stages lopen in de aan de Universiteit van
Nanjing verbonden academische ziekenhuizen. Het ziekenhuis
biedt opleidingen en stagemogelijkheden. Neem contact op met
het secretariaat voor nadere informatie.
Ook in het buitenland kun je stage lopen, mits de instelling

als medisch training centrum wordt erkend door de Wereld
gezondheidsorganisatie (WHO). Maximaal 50% van de verplichte
stage-uren mag in het buitenland worden gedaan. Vooraf is
toestemming nodig van de studiecoördinatoren.

Nascholing en Seminars
Shenzhou Open University of TCM organiseert regelmatig seminars. Ieder jaar
bieden wij onze alumni weer een breed scala aan onderwerpen aan. Recente
ontwikkelingen in de TCG alsmede de onderwerpen die onze cursisten
aandragen, inspireren ons tot het voortdurend zoeken naar interessante
thema’s voor seminars. Bekende artsen en docenten uit China, Europa en
de Verenigde Staten worden uitgenodigd om deze boeiende lezingen te
verzorgen.
Voor onze seminars vragen wij accreditatie aan bij alle relevante
beroepsverenigingen.

inschrijven voor een seminar. Als u graag op de hoogte gehouden

Collegegeld, Examengeld
en Betalingen
Bij uw eerste registratie als student bij Shenzhou Open University
betaalt u eenmalig € 95,- inschrijfgeld.
Het collegegeld bedraagt € 1.900,- per jaar en is voor alle
opleidingen die Shenzhou aanbiedt gelijk*.
Volgt u twee opleidingsjaren tegelijkertijd (indien roostertechnisch
mogelijk, bijvoorbeeld Medisch Basiskennis en Acupunctuur), dan
betaalt u ook tweemaal het collegegeld. Het is niet mogelijk twee
opleidingsjaren van eenzelfde studie te combineren (bijvoorbeeld
Acupunctuur 1e en 2e jaar).
Uitgedeelde syllabi zijn inbegrepen bij het collegegeld. Boeken en

enkele readers zijn niet bij het collegegeld inbegrepen.
* Dit is de vastgestelde prijs voor het studiejaar 2019-2020. Het collegegeld

kan per jaar worden aangepast op basis van inflatie..

Examenkosten voor studenten van Shenzhou

Eerste examen en eerste herkansing zijn kosteloos. Bij een tweede
herkansing wordt € 100,- in rekening gebracht.
Voor externe studenten

■■ Examen ter niveaubepaling (toelatingsexamen voor
zij-instromers): € 100,-
■■ Evaluatie-examen voor beroepsverenigingen: € 300,-
Betalingen
Studenten die tot de opleiding zijn toegelaten ontvangen een
factuur voor het collegegeld. Het collegegeld dient te worden
betaald volgens onze “Verkoop- en leveringsvoorwaarden” binnen
de termijn van 30 dagen. Betaling in termijnen is niet mogelijk.
Bij te late betaling wordt het verschuldigde bedrag voor het
collegegeld verhoogd met € 50,- administratiekosten.
Annulering
Annuleringen zijn alleen rechtsgeldig indien deze schriftelijk of per
e-mail door ons ontvangen zijn. Bij annulering tot 14 dagen voor
aanvang van de opleiding worden alleen de registratiekosten in
rekening gebracht. Bij annulering binnen 14 dagen voor aanvang
van de opleiding en de start van de opleiding wordt 50% van het
collegegeld in rekening gebracht. Na de start van de opleiding is
het volledige collegegeld verschuldigd.
Restitutie
Collegegelden komen niet in aanmerking voor restitutie met
uitzondering van extreme situaties – zware ongevallen, ziekte
of overlijden – waardoor de student niet in staat is om zijn of
haar studie te beginnen of af te ronden. In deze gevallen kan de
student in kwestie of wettige vertegenwoordiger een schriftelijk
verzoek tot restitutie indienen. Vanaf drie weken na aanvang van
de opleiding is restitutie niet langer mogelijk.
Registratiekosten komen in aanmerking voor restitutie.

Als je aan een ander instituut een TCG opleiding volgt en graag
verder wil studeren bij Shenzhou Open University of TCM, neem
dan eerst contact op met de studiecoördinatoren.
Registratiekosten
Bij je eerste registratie betaal je eenmalig inschrijfgeld van € 95,-.
Je dient je voor ieder studiejaar apart in te schrijven, doch het
inschrijfgeld betaal je slechts eenmalig.
Inschrijftermijn
Indien je je inschrijfformulier voor 15 juli instuurt is er meestal
nog wel plaats. Indien je je in wilt schrijven na 15 juli, neem dan
contact op met de studiecoördinator. Indien een studie te weinig
aanmeldingen kent, behoudt de school zich het recht voor om
deze te annuleren.
Onvoorziene veranderingen
Shenzhou Open University of TCM behoudt zich het recht voor om
het rooster en schoolbeleid aan te passen. Wij danken je voor je
begrip.
