Davallia

This crochet JACK E T

appears in PomPom Magazine Issue 28. Isa
Catepillan’s beautiful stitchwork is inspired by
Davallia ferns as the new fronds unfurl. The jacket
is built with rectangular shapes. Once you have
made a Davallia panel, we’ll have the information we
need to plan your very own jacket. You can choose
to make your Davallia sleeveless. Your version
can be a long vest with side slits. There are many
variations on this basic garment shape that we
can discover together this summer. The magazine
provides only written instructions. If you are a fan
of crochet charts, you will be happy to know that
Sheep’s Clothing has created a chart to supplement
the pattern. If you haven’t yet worked from crochet
charts this is a great opportunity to expand your
crochet horizons by getting into the world of charts.
