CONTENT STANDARD
The learners demonstrate an understanding of how the different structures of the circulatory and respiratory
systems work together to transport oxygen-rich blood and nutrients to the different parts of the body.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learners shall be able to conduct an information dissemination activity on effective ways on taking care of
the respiratory and circulatory systems based on data gathered from the school or local health workers.
LEARNING COMPETENCY
Explain how respiratory and circulatory systems work with each other.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session, students should be able to:
1. Finalize with the teacher their designations and responsibilities on the class.
2. Assess their prior knowledge and understanding of the topic: Respiratory and Circulatory systems,
working with the other Organ systems.

ELICIT
 Facilitate their seating arrangement, the distribution of their books, assigning of weekly monitors.
ENGAGE
 Remind the students about their responsibilities on their assigned tasks and received learning materials.
EXPLORE
a. Tell the students that they’ll be taking pre-assessment test.
b. Instruct them to turn their books on page 3 and answer the K-W-H-L Chart.
c. On the visual aid to be posted, let them identify the words that has something to do with respiratory
system and circulatory system.
EXPLAIN
a. Explain first what the K-W-H-L chart is:
 What do I Know?
 What do I want to find out?
 How can I find out what I want to learn?
 What did I learn?
ELABORATE
 Instruct the learners to create their own data table before answering the given questions.
EVALUATE
 The teacher will read students’ answers on their K-W-H-L chart to assess their knowledge about the
topic.
EXTEND
 Read about the main parts of respiratory system.
