On March 30, 2016, Texas LNG Brownsville LLC (“Texas LNG”) filed an Application with the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC” or the “Commission”) pursuant to Section 3(a)
of the Natural Gas Act (“NGA”), as amended, and Part 153 of the Commission’s Rules and
Regulations for authority to site, construct, and operate facilities used for the export of natural
gas under Section 3 of the NGA. FERC accepted this Application for filing on March 31, 2016,
and assigned the proceeding Docket No. CP16-116-000.
Texas LNG hereby submits a copy of the Letter of Recommendation (“LOR”) that the United
States Coast Guard issued for the Texas LNG Liquefaction Project on February 14, 2018.
Texas LNG notes that the Coast Guard recommends that “the Brownsville Ship Channel be
considered suitable for accommodating the type and frequency of LNG marine traffic
associated” with the Texas LNG project.
