THANK YOU
As I prepare for the next phase in my ministry, I
would like to thank all the parishioners of Holy Family
Parish. It has been a very special time in my life, and I
have made friends that I know will last a lifetime, and
into the next life as well. I remember getting my assign-
ment to come to PdC, and knowing the good things Fr
Jerome was accomplishing, I told the bishop I would be
ok remaining in Chippewa Falls. I am beginning to see
a pattern here, as I tried more than once to persuade
the bishop to remain here this spring. However, it seems
he is adamant that I move on to serve the people of
Marshfield. This is a challenge for me personally and for
our parish family. However, compare this to building
not a house, but a home. The work is never finished.
There is always one more room, always one more pro-
ject, one more challenge; and then a pipe breaks or the
sewer backs up, the list never ends. Parish life is never
stagnant, and this is a new chapter in the life of Holy
Family Parish, one that I am sure will be blessed.
Our parish has grown in so many ways, becom-
ing more and more united as one in Christ. The indi-
vidual traditions of St Gabriel’s and St John’s will con-
tinue as a testament to our ancestors who sacrificed so
much to build these parishes, and I am sure that the
same will be said of the founding families of Holy Fami-
ly Parish in another 100 years. The various groups that
make up parish life are vibrant, and will serve our next
pastor as you have served and worked with me in my
time here. If you are thinking that now might be a good
time to become more active in your faith life, consider
offering your talents to the various ministries (lectors,
ushers, communion minister, either to the home-bound
or at Mass, sacristan or helping with decorations), seek
out the Knights of Columbus, PCCW, becoming a
member of the choir, The Men’s group or the Holy
Name Society. These and so many more opportunities
to serve our church and grow in your faith. It has been
an honor to serve alongside so many good men and
women, growing in my faith, and hopefully walking
with you as you grow in your faith.
At this time, there are some changes still. Fr
Dave, who was planning on coming down, will be tak-
ing a different assignment. As I write this, I cannot say
who it is that will be replacing me, but am praying for a
good man. With a parish of this size and a school, I am
sure they will be sending someone soon.

Thank you for the many prayers offered over the
years, and especially for those offered these past weeks.
Thank you to all those that offered gifts as I was preparing
to take leave. It is truly humbling to see these expressions
of gratitude, and know they are greatly appreciated. You
will be remembered in my prayers and Masses as I go for-
ward to serve directly the people of Marshfield. May God
continue to bless you and your families and loved ones for
your generous spirit.
In closing, I know there are some that I may have
offended in my 10 years. Please know that these have nev-
er been intentional, but the result of my lack of communi-
cation skills. I pray that if I have pushed anyone away, they
will be open to speaking with the new pastor and reconcil-
ing. For those that I may have offended in any way, please
accept my apology.
May God’s blessing continue to reign in your hearts.

 ALTAR SERVERS BREWERS BUS TRIP
The date has been set for the Annual Holy Family
Altar Servers Bus Trip. This trip is open to all Holy
Family church servers in the current 4th grade class
and older. Parents & siblings of servers are welcome,
but any student younger than 4th grade must be
accompanied by a parent.
The date is set for Wednesday, August 14th, 2019
Brewers vs. Minnesota Twins. The bus will leave from
St. John’s School Parking Lot at 7:30 am. Game time
is 1:10 pm. Cost is $15.00 for students and $30.00 for
adults (no refunds if you pay and decide not to go.)
Price includes bus ride, game ticket, tailgating before
the game and sandwiches/chips/dessert/beverage for
the bus ride home. We will ask each family for some
food donations for the meal on the bus coming home.
Everybody attending the trip will need to fill out a
diocesan permission slip (students & adults). We will
hand these permission slips out once we have the
completed registration form & payment. Registration
forms can be picked up in the back of churches by the
Scrip Table . If you have questions call Ken or Mary
Stoeffler at 563-329-0149.
