Rhythm as soul of music

Goals and objectives:


To know the essential prospect of rhythm.
To learn that rhythm has a big contribution in everyday living.

III. Schedule:
Checking of attendance

Procedure:
Talk about how rhythm is used in everyday life.
Beating of heart can be an example. Feel your heart beating in just a moment...
Rhythm can also use in dance where you use the rhythm on your feet to coordinate with the
song.
Ticking of clock can also be an example because of its constant ticking.
Or even bird singing.

In music, rhythm is the regular succession of beat Rhythm is also the SOUL OF MUSIC

IV. Application:
We usually use rhythm in beat of music. One example is the National Anthem “Lupang
Hinirang”
Song the National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang”

V. Evaluation:
Give 5 example of song that you know that has a rhythm.

Procedure:
Talk about a Clef
Clef – is a musical symbol used to indicate the pitch of written notes.
Notice the Symbol at the beginning ot the bar line.
It is called G –clef
G-clef – is named because the symbol is stylized letter “G” that encircles the line of the staff,
indicating where the “G” above middle “C” is located.

IV. Application:
Draw a bar line with a G-Clef

V. Evaluation:
G-clef can be also called as Treble clef which at the beginning of the barline to represent the
pitch

To know the importance of meter and time signature in music.

III. Schedule:
Review of the past lesson

Procedure:
Talk about Meter and Time Signature
Meter is the regular recurring pattern of strong and weak beats equal in duration of time.
The meter is also called the time signature indicated as fraction (2/4, 2/4, 2/4) located at the
beginning of a piece of music.

Example:
2 – upper number tells how many beats are in a measure
4 – lower number tells what kind of note recieves one beat

IV. Application:
Sing a song
Marry had a Little Lamb Baa, baa, black sheep
Mary had a little lamb, Baa, baa, black sheep,
little lamb, little lamb, Have you any wool?
Mary had a little lamb, Yes sir, yes sir,
its fleece was white as snow. Three bags full.

the lamb was sure to go. Who lives down the lane.

Remember that 2/4 where 2 number tells how many beat are in a measure and 4 number
tells what kind of note recieves one beat.

Observe the number of beats in each measure.

There are two beats in each measure of quarter notes.

There are three beats in each measure of quarter notes.

There are four beats in each measure of quarter notes.

Sing and read the notes of Mary had a Little Lamb and Baa, baa, black sheep in 2/4 meter.
