5. Clean inspection glass of Counter meter.
6. Check the tightness of Counter meter connection.
7. Adjust the null point of the counter meter for accuracy.
8. Check IR value and record it.

1. Clean the Insulator. For Transformer-1
2. Check the insulators for any cracks/ any other physical damages. For Transformer-2
3. Check the tightness of Power termination. For Transformer-3
4. Check the tightness of Control connection. Outgoing to Line 2
5. Check Oil level and oil leakages. Clean Oil level indicator. Arrest Oil leakages if any.
6. Check the Oil BDV.
7. Check IR value and record it.

8 132 KV Potential Transformer Line PT


1. Clean all insulators. Bus PT
2. Check the insulator for cracks/ tracking or any other damages.
3. Check the tightness of Power and Control connection.
4. Check for oil leakages. Arrest oil leakages if any.
5. Check oil level and clean oil level indicator. Fill the oil if required.
6. Test the OIL for BDV.

1. Clean the horizontal bus bar and bus bar chamber. Seimens PCC-2
2. Clean the vertical bus bar and bus bar cubicle. English Electric PCC TR 3 side
3. Clean the bus support insulators. English Electric PCC TR 4 side
4. Check the insulators for any cracks / tracking / burns or any damages.
5. Check all horizontal and verticle bus bar joints for tightness.
6. Check the operation of safety shutters of all panels. 1 Electrician +4 helpers
7. Check fixed contact of the bus bar (lower and bottom) for any abnormalities like sparking, pitting mark,
discolours, overheating.
8. Clean the control cubicle.
9. Check tightness of control connection.
10. Testing of protective relays and tripping circuit.
11. All selector(ASS/ VSS),TNC, meter & TB condition & termination checking & tightening.
12. Clean and terminal tightening of CT & PT and its connections.
13. Clean the out going cable and busduct chamber.
14. Check the tightness of all cable terminations. Check for any abnormalities like overheating, discolour
or any damages of lugs and insulation.
Raw Mill Drive
13 Maintenance of SRIM (HV & LV) and Dc motor Raw Mill Fan
1. Cleaning of motor body, stator & rotor terminal box etc. Ph Fan 1
2. Check the Stator lead coming from winding for insulation, overheating and detoriation of joint. If
Ph Fan 2
required, re-insulate and/ or re-condition the lead.
3. Check lugs of Stator lead coming from Stator winding for overheating/ deformation. Coal Mill Drive
4. Clean the PSTB and insulators and check the insulator for any cracks/ damages. Coal Mill Fan 1 Electrician +2 helpers
5. Check power cable termination at Stator terminal for overheating or deformation of lug. Cooler ESP Fan
6. Check the HT cable termination kit for any damages and earthing of cable. Kiln Main Drive
7. Clean the Slip Ring chamber, Slip Ring, Slip Ring hub, Slip Ring contact surface, Carbon Brush holder,
Waste Gas Fan
spring, rocker arm and insulators.
8. Re-insulate the insulators by anti-tracking spray of Class H and proper voltage grade.
9. Re-insulate the slipring hub by Red Epoxy Gel Coat.
10. Check the Slip Ring for pitting mark. Polish the Slip Ring by emery paper to clean the pitting mark.
11. Check the Rotor cable connection coming from winding at Slip Ring end and cables at rotor terminal
box for tightness of connection, overheating/ deformation of lugs and lead.
12. Check the sizing of carbon brush and spring tension.
13. Check the tightness of carbon brush connection with rocker arm.
14. Clean the Neutral terminal box.
15. Check the tightness of neutral connection.
16. Clean and check the CT and its connection at neutral terminal box.
17. Check motor space heater.
18. Check the earthing of body, PSTB, Rotor terminal box etc.
19. Measure Ph to Ph & Ph to Earth IR and PI value of Stator & Rotor winding.
20. Clean the cooler tube.
21. Clean and Check the cooling fan motor for tightness of connection.

14 Replacement of HT and MV Motors


1. Precommissioning testing of Motor (IR value, winding resistance, PI value etc)
2. Disconnection of Stator and Rotor (wherever applicable) cable Coal Mill Fan
3. Disconnection of winding RTD and BTD cooler esp Fan
4. De-coupling of Motor kiln main Drive
5. Fixing of Coupling for new motors (it will be done prior to kiln shut down) 1 Electrician +2 helpers

1. Cleaning resistance bank and shorting contactor panel.
2. Clean the support insulators of resistance bank
3. Check tightness of connection of resistance bank.
4. Check the tightness of power and control connection at GRR end.

6. Measure the resistance value.
7. Clean the control panel and its component.

3. Fill the Soda Water solution.

5. Check the tightness of power and control connection at LRS end.
