ABSTRACT
The Vedas are a wealth of information, not only about philosophical and spiritual ideals, but also invaluable
reference manuals that clearly explain the laws governing scientific phenomenon, practical applications, and the
methods for utilization of awesome natural resources. Scientists, mathematicians, manufacturers, computer
programmers and many others can greatly benefit from this vast repertoire of information and knowledge.

Although most people today concentrate on significant aspects of the Atharvaveda such as medicinal plants and
healing practices, many other fascinating subjects such as marriage rites, the healing properties of water, atomic
and solar energy, electricity, and the states of the Supreme Consciousness are also discussed. I am expounding
all of these subjects in this project.

―Quantum Physics came from the Vedas: Schrödinger, Einstein and Tesla were all Vedantists.‖

~ How does quantum physics work, you may ask, what is it, and where does it come from?;

I. INTRODUCTION
For centuries, the history of India and in particular Hindu culture has been presented in the most distorted and
falsified fashion. Most recently, Western historians and Indian historians influenced by the West, have
constantly portrayed it in an absolutely erroneous manner. The most significant example of this type is the
aberrant analysis has been applied to the greatest and most profound Hindu literature of all time, namely the
Vedas.

For Hindus, the Vedas are of completely divine origin. We believe that the Vedas are words of divine wisdom
from the eternal source of Supreme Consciousness itself. Over many centuries, men of supremely exalted
wisdom called "Rishis" compiled these eternal spiritual and natural laws into several volumes, which are called
"Vedas". However, according to self-styled analysts like Max Mueller and thousands of Western as well as
pseudo secular Indian historians, the Vedas are nothing but a bunch of ritualistic hymns connected with nothing
more spiritual than charms and incantations. These people would have us believe that the profound heights of
spiritual philosophy that are expressed in the Vedas, are nothing short of tribal superstitions upheld by a
primitive people.

294 | P a g e
Of all the Vedas, none has been more maligned than the Atharva Veda. Many historians have even gone on to
say that it is nothing but "a manual of black and white magic". Such exceptionally ignorant statements make it
clear that sacred Hindu literature is being treated in the most demeaning and prejudiced way. Take for example
such statements as "Above all the principal aim of the Atharva Veda is to appease the demons, to bless friends
and to curse" by V. M. Apte, an Indian writer of modern times, or " There are then numerous verses in the
Atharveda, which according to their character and often also in their contents, differ just as little from the magic
formulas of American Indian medicine-men and Tarter Shamans.." by Winternitz. These type of views clearly
demonstrate the prejudices and biased approach that Western-educated historians bring to their analysis. Not
only that, but it also shows that their views are conditioned by Western outlooks and ideals, bundled with the
misgivings that the Christian viewpoint displays in dealing with anything mystical and alien to their own
perception of "spiritual strictures of morality"

While reading the Vedas, one must keep certain facts in mind:

The Vedas are NOT historical accounts. They are not biographies of great kings and the battles they fought with
demons, nor are they mythical legends about emperors and intrigues that existed long ago.

The Vedas date much further back than any Indus Valley Civilization. Long before the Harappans existed, these
spiritual, scientific and natural laws had been collected by numerous brilliant Rishis and compiled into several
unified compositions, all of which were given the general descriptive label of "Vedas".

The Vedas are compilations of the eternal laws governing human existence. Moreover each of the four Vedas
was a treatise on particular subjects, specific only to itself. The word "Veda" itself means "sacred or pure
knowledge", having come from the root "Vid" meaning "to know".

Of these, the Atharvaveda consisted of nine branches or sakhas, according to sage Patanjali.Of these nine, we
know of only two, namely Saunaka and Paippalada branches. Even in this incomplete form, the Atharvaveda
was the source of development for such immense philosophical systems as Tantra and practical systems like
Ayurveda. Often, Hindu scriptures have been criticized, as being too vague and full of profoundly difficult
philosophical flights and abstract concepts, which are impossible for the common reader to grasp. In fact, the
Atharvaveda is a prime example of how the majority of Hindu scriptures do delve into practical and material
matters that affect every day human life.

III. ENERGY IN VEDAS
Vedas describe energy by the name of ―Agni‖. The same Agni when located in various spaces is named
variously as Indra, VÈyu, JÈtavedas, Vai„vÈnara, Puri–ya, ƒuci, PavamÈna, PÈvaka, A„va, Gau, AjÈ, Avi etc.
Some 200 SÊktas have been devoted to Agni (energy) in ÿgveda. Agni is noted to devour his parents (matter)
soon after its birth. This points nothing else but conversion of matter into energy. Aiteraya BrÈhma‡a (2.3)
and TaittirÏya Br. (1.4.4.10) upholds

agniÌ sarvÈ devatÈÌ’

All material bodies in universe originated from Agni (energy).

sarvadevatyo agniÌ (ƒ.Br. 6.1.2.28)

Energy involves entire material creation.

‘eka eva agnir bahudhÈ samiddhaÌ’

According to Aitareya BrÈhma‡a (2.6), all the visible matter particles (material objects) in the observer space
are made up of Agni (energy).

God created material objects from the mouth of Agni (energy).

According to ƒatapatha BrÈhma‡a (6.1.4.12)

sarve pa„avo yadagniÌ. tasmÈdagnau pa„avo ramante.

All matter particles are transformed from energy, so it may be said that all particles reside in energy.

IV.TYPES OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

As cited above from universal Puru–a, four types of pa„us came into being, viz. a„va (horse), gau
(cow), ajÈ (goat) and avi (sheep). This make us understand that in the universe, according to Vedas, there are
four types of sustainable energies. A detailed description of these energies is given below:

4.4 Water Energy/ Hydro power

ÿgveda (10.45.1) speaks about origin of energy from three places. First one from celestial sphere, i.e. sun,
second one from earth and third one from waters (both earthly as well as rain).

divaspari prathamaŠ jaj¤e

agnirasmad dvitÏyaŠ jÈtavedÈÌ

t‚tÏyam apsu n‚ma‡È ajasram

indhÈna enaŠ jarate svÈdhÏÌ

Energy was first born in celestial sphere from sun; as JÈtavedas it was born the second time from earth; thirdly
it occupied its place in the waters. Energy is the benefactor of human beings in the form of electricity. He who
knows the properties of energy appreciates it highly utilizing it in various ways.

296 | P a g e
RV. (10.45.2) talks about three main stations of energy, sun, earth and midsphere and also of many other
stations like waters, winds and fossil fuels etc.

4.2 Marine Energy

ÿgveda (2.35.3) speaks about the marine energy as under:

samanyÈyantyupayantyanyÈÌ

samÈnam ÊrvaŠ nadyaÌ p‚‡anti

tam Ê „uciŠ „ucayo dÏdivÈnsam

apÈŠ napÈtaŠ pari tasthur ÈpaÌ

Some waters collect together (from the rain); others, (already collected on earth), unite with them; as rivers, they
flow together to propitiate the marine energy: the pure waters are gathered round the pure and brilliant energy.

4.3 Field Energy or Energy of Intermediate Space (Avi)

In Yajurveda (23.53),

dyaur ÈsÏt pÊrvacittir a„va ÈsÏd b‚had vayaÌ. avirÈsÏt pilippilÈ, rÈtrir ÈÏt pi„a×gilÈ.

Light space is first store house of energy. A„va (star/sun) is the biggest material object in observer
space. Avi (intermediate space or magnetosphere of earth) is the protector and ajÈ (dark matter) is the devourer.

Here pilippilÈ is something very soft that protects and presses very easily. Pi„i×gilÈ means deourer .

Magnetic field of earth

Thus avi is considered as soft object which is nothing else but the intermediate space or magnetosphere of earth

having dense field lines. The magnetosphere of earth protects us from the ultraviolet radiation from sun. Wool
of avi (sheep) is used to strain soma juice. The intermediate space acts as strainer of soma juice, the radiation
from sun filters down to earth through magnetosphere of earth (interface between sun and earth).

In fact, the magnetic field of the earth forms the magnetosphere, which deflects particles from the Solar wind.

The magnetosphere shields the surface of the Earth from the charged particles of the solar wind. Magnetosphere
of each and every heavenly body is generated by the plasma located as the nuclear reactor in their center
(wombs). Similarly

297 | P a g e
Radiation belts

magnetosphere of earth is generated by the plasma located as the nuclear reactor in the center of the earth. It is
compressed on the day (Sun) side due to the force of the arriving particles, and extended on the night side.

The collision between the magnetic field and the solar wind forms the Radiation belt, a pair of concentric,
Torus-shaped regions of energetic charged particles. These radiation belts surrounding the earth are known in
modern science as Van Allen belts. Similar radiation belts are also formed around other planets.

4.4 Geothermal Energy (Gau)

The Vedic seers were well aware of geothermal energy. ƒatapatha BrÈhma‡a (14.9.4.19) says that earth holds
energy in her womb. This fact is clarified more vividly in Yajurveda (11.57)

mÈtÈ putraŠ yathopasthesÈgniŠbibhartugarbha È

Earth holds the energy in her womb like the mother her child.

ƒatapatha BrÈhma‡a (6.5.1.11) further explaina this as under:

itiyathÈ mÈtÈ putramupasthebibh’yÈdevam agniŠ garbhe bibhartviti

Just as mother carries the child in her womb, similarly earth holds the energy in her womb.

The same fact has been upheld by ƒ.Br. (6.5.5.11) and TȇÇya BrÈhma‡a (10.1.1) other way round. They
maintain that this earth is three layered- energy - hard crust- vegetation. Energy layer is surrounded by the hard
crust which is further covered with the vegetation.

triv‚d hi iyam (p‚thivÏ). ƒ.Br.

agninÈ p‚thivyÈ o–dhibhiÌ tenÈyaŠ p‚thivÏ likaÌ triv‚t. Tȇ. Br.

TaittirÏya BrÈhma‡a (3.11.1.17) mentions that energy is located in earth.

agnir asi p‚thivyÈŠ „ritaÌ.

Energy has its shelter in earth.

4.5 Puri–a Agni (Bio-energy of Earth)

Kapi–—hala Ka—ha Sa×hitÈ (35.3) maintains that energy is also located in earth in the form ofPurÏ–
a (excretion i.e.fossil fuel). At one place the same fact has been substantiated as under

mÈteva putraŠ p‚thivÏ purÏ–yam agniŠ sve yonÈvubhÈrukhÈ.

Just as mother delivers a child, similarly the earth delivers energy in the form of fossil fuels.

RV (1.163.1), describes fossil fuels as one of the source of energy.

Your great birth, O glorified energy is to be decried; whether first springing from the sea bottom or from
excrement (feces) of earth. You have the wings of the falcon and the limbs of the deer.

V. VEDIC LAW OF CONSERVATION OF ENERGY

In the RV. (2.35.1) it is said that energy is main cause behind the stability of material objects. It is the source of
power and transforms into various material forms. So it should be conserved.

upema s‚k– vÈjayur vacasyÈŠ

cano dadhÏta nÈdyo giro me

apÈŠ napÈd È„uhemÈ kuvitsa

supe„asakarati jo–i–addhi

Desiring power, I put forth this laudatory hymn; may the sounding and swift-moving energy transforms in many
beautiful forms, for verily the same is conserved.

VI. LAW OF EQUIVALENCE OF MASS ENERGY

The law of equivalence of mass energy is coded severally in the Vedic texts. For example, RV. (2.11.1),
observes in this regard as follows:

„rudhÏ havam indra mÈ ri–a‡yaÌ

syÈma te dÈvanevasÊnÈm.

imÈ hi tvÈmÊrjovardhayanti

vasÊyavaÌsindhavo na k–arantaÌ.

Indra (electric energy), hear (my) invocation; don’t be displeased: may we be worthy of the gift of your
treasures. The energy is catalyst to prosperity, and is not depleted like flow of river.

Here the energy is described to be the augmenter of physical prosperity. It is also described as non-depleting
which is nothing else but points out to the principle of equivalence of mass energy.

VII. ELECTRICAL ENERGY IN THE VEDAS

Electricity was also invented by the Vedic seers. In the Vedas, it has been mentioned by name Indra. The word
Vidyuta was also used for the same. We also find the mention in Agastya Sa×hitÈ (Indian Prince’s library)
regarding the method of generation of electricity and constructing electrical batteries. The relevant reference can
be quoted as under:

then moist saw dust (kÈ–—hapÈnsu).

After that put a mercury-amalgamated -zinc (pÈrad ÈcchÈdita dast) sheet on top of an energy known by the
twin name of Mitra-Varuna (cathode and anode).

Water will be split by this current into Pra‡a-vÈyu (oxygen) and UdÈna-vayu (hydrogen). A chain of one
hundred jars is said to give a very active and effective force to make a battery bank ((kÈrya k‚t))."

Further it is stated that

vÈyu-bandhak-vastre‡a nibaddho yÈna-mastake.

uÈdÈnaÌ svalaghutvena bibharti-ÈkÈ„a-yÈnakam.

"That is to say this energy can be used in extracting hydrogen (udÈna-vÈyu) from water and then the same,
being lighter than air can be used in operation of airplane."

Apart from this, Atharvaveda (2.5.12) refers to two kinds of electricity i.e. positive and negative along with its
friendly and destructive use. According to ÿgveda (1.16.5), the electricity is hidden in water and when it comes
out, it spreads light and provides energy. ÿgveda (1.85.5; 188.1) describes use of electricity in weapons and
telegraphy. The word Vidyut is used to denote electricity in Vedas. Electricity can be generated from energy
(RV. 1.45.5). Electricity protects people and should be used as destructive energy against wicked persons and
enemies with the help of weapons, which work on electricity (RV. 1.86.9). A scientist who knows the nature of
Time and all the properties and characteristics of electricity can accomplish his/her work very fast (RV. 1.95.8).

AV. (20.7.4) refers to application of electricity to devise technology for manufacturing different things. The
picture that emerges from these mantars is that of an extremely advanced culture, that utilized superlative
technology and yet maintained an enormous respect and reverence for the ecosystem and the natural
environment. Not only this, but they had analyzed the properties and laws of all these natural energies and thus
comprehended perfectly the best way to utilize them..

AV. (20.31.1) mentions that electric current is propelled by two speedily moving forces of attraction and
repulsion, which is powerful like the thunderbolt, pleasant and praiseworthy.

AV. (20.31.2) discusses the principles of electromagnetic force that are being used to generate motion. In
addition, the reference to a liquid fuel propellant, informs us that a combination of high-speed and intense
electrical power was used to produce a number of favorable results like exceptionally fast vehicular modes of
transportation, as well as efficient manufacturing processes.

AV. (20.15.2) acknowledges the immense power of electricity and provides the deep understanding about its
intensity. Electricity does have the power of striking through any element. The portion about productive works
depending on waters flowing with speed is an obvious reference to harnessing hydroelectric power. It is obvious
from this verse that Vedic society was well aware of methods that harnessed the power of electricity through

300 | P a g e
systems like hydroelectric power plants. Once harnessed, they incorporated the force to implement
manufacturing concerns and power machinery.

adha te vi„vam anu hÈsa-di–—aya

Èpo nimneva savanÈ havi–mataÌ

yatparvate na sama„Ïta haryata

indrasya vajraÌ „nathitÈ hira‡yayaÌ

Just as all productive works of the manufacturer depend upon waters flowing down with speed, so do all the
desired objects of him depend upon you (Electricity), as its powerful striking force cannot be obstructed by any
cloud, or mountain in the way. It smashes all impediments, with its radiant energy.

AV. (20.15.3) gives one to understand that electricity was a topic that was researched and explored in great
detail during Vedic age. Skilled electrical engineers used to devise specific utilities and controls for electric
power. Illumination was certainly one of its widely used applications. From the last line, we can also derive the
information that electronic devices were used as hearing aids and sound magnifiers. Sophisticated systems for
controlling electricity and measuring electricity were in place, and electronic panels that aided in controlling
other forms of energy were also used.

VIII. VEDIC POWER GENERATION

When a mechanical rotor is rotated in between the magnets the electricity gets generated. Since there would be
some energy losses the efficiently is less than 100%.

8.1 Gravity Energy converter with 20 magnets.

For the same reason and logic, gravity is the strongest potential force, as it acts interactively but simultaneously
at the very source, which state cannot be detected, as a photon can be. The proof of these statements has been
verified practically in a gravity energy converter presently working at the highest efficiency, shown in the
diagram below.

It has an outstanding negative load charactristics. Its RPM increases when output load coils are short circuited.

Generic Circuit Diagram Below

8.2 Magneto-Gravitic perpetual oscillatory motor

NdFeb magnets plus coils around cores form 20 sets (only 4 shown). Five sets of 12V battery is charged as load.
One 12V battery charged only by inductive kickback pulse, drives an inverter at 230 VAC & a small rotary
transformer sets voltage at 60 to provide 12V for optic trigger plus 48v to charging bank. An IGBT triggers coils
for one nano second to reverse coil magnetic polarity. Slotted disc triggers optic switch to drive IGBT. Rotor
axle pulley drives external alternator/generator to drive external loads at designed RPM. It runs on PHO
principle, perpetually by its self-generated potential. It exchanges simultaneous potential with sequential
harmonics in each cycle.

IX. CONCLUSION
In the dawning ecological age, we are once again recognizing the spiritual powers at work behind the forces of
nature, the most important of which is the Sun. We need to cultivate the external Sun not only as an energy
source, but the inner Sun as a source of inspiration and meditation. This once more provides us a world view in
which we can appreciate the spiritual teachings not only the Vedas, Yoga and Tantra, but of all solar traditions
of truth and enlightenment, which have counterparts all over the world and many of which are undergoing
renewal.

The best ways to access this power of the spiritual Sun can be listed briefly:

Perform the Sun Salutation particularly in the morning to the Sun, preferably honoring the different names of
the Sun.

Practice Prana Yoga or Pranayama, including alternate nostril breathing and honoring Prana as the inner Sun in
the heart.

Practice Solar or light based mantras, like Hrim, Gayatri, or the Hamsa Mantra.

Use the sunlight to energize the water and the herbal beverages that you drink.

Visualize God or the guru or whatever you are most devoted to as dwelling in the Sun of your own heart.

Practice Self-inquiry or meditation upon the source of all light as the Self or pure I, the spiritual Sun within the
heart.

The simplest thing to do is to greet the sun every day with the astrological mantra:

Om Sum Suryaya Namah!

302 | P a g e
There is nothing more obvious to us than the Sun and nothing with such an all-pervasive influence our lives. Yet
we usually forget the spiritual splendor of the Sun living in its reflections. However, without honoring that inner
Sun, our inner world is likely to be tainted with darkness, regardless of the condition of the outer world.

The ancient solar Vedic Yoga involves resurrecting the Sun out of darkness, which is the Sun of our own true
Self hidden in the darkness of the material world and the ego-mind. Each one of us is a Sun, a universal light of
consciousness, but that solar aspect of our being must be regained through the process of Yoga Sadhana, which
is a return to the Sun.

May you awaken to your inner light that is the supreme light that pervades the entire universe.

Electrical energy in the Atharvaveda, however in the interests of keeping this article to a reasonable length, I
have not reproduced every one of them. The discovery of such amazing truths in the Vedas, clearly undermines
the very foundation of our smug assertions that Civilization and scientific advancement proceed forward in a
linear fashion. It is high time for us to thoroughly analyses and learn from the invaluable resources that our
forefathers have left us in the form of the divine Vedas and other profound Hindu literature.

To make sure we have plenty of energy in the future, it's up to all of us to use energy wisely.

We must all conserve energy and use it efficiently. It's also up to those who will create the new energy
technologies of the future.

All energy sources have an impact on the environment. Concerns about the greenhouse effect and global
warming, air pollution, and energy security have led to increasing interest and more development in renewable
energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, wave power and hydrogen.

But we'll need to continue to use fossil fuels and nuclear energy until new, cleaner technologies can replace
them. One of you who is reading this might be another Albert Einstein or Marie Curie and find a new source of
energy. Until then, it's up to all of us.

The future is ours, but we need energy to get there.
