ABSTRACT

This study assessed the Language Anxiety of BEED IV students of St. Mary’s

College of Bansalan College Inc., and related it to the English Language

Proficiency of the aforementioned respondents. It used descriptive correlation

method with validated tests that were administered to 40 BEED IV students. The

findings of the study revealed that students had a moderate Language Anxiety

and high in English Language Proficiency. The test of relationship between

Language Anxiety and English Language Proficiency using Pearson Product

Moment Correlation gained a p-value of 0.021 which is noticeably not greater

than 0.05 level of significance. The p-value obtained is interpreted as significant

since it is not greater than 0.05 level of significance. This implies that the 4th year

BEED students Language Anxiety and English Language Proficiency showed a

significant relationship.
