It has been such a long time since you left after your graduation and I was very happy when
your letter reached my hand.

You know, I am quite busy in my job but when I have time, I often play some sports to
reduce stress and to improve my health. Therefore, I am very glad to hear that you play
sports or ride your bike, too. I think I prefer to be outdoors, because it is a good way to be
close to the nature, to get some fresh air as I have to work all day in my office. It is very
relaxing when you are doing exercises while enjoying the view. My favorite activity is
running and I often run in the park in the mornings.

Many people think that a school teacher’s role is to motivate and inspire students. However,
other people believe that a teacher’s primary role is to pass on knowledge. From my point of
view, teachers play more roles than just the two ones mentioned above.

Firstly, teachers should motivate and inspire students. Not all students are excellent. They
experience success and failure in their study process, they need encourages from teachers
and this will be the motivation for them to go on, to overcome all the challenges. Secondly,
another important role of a school’s teacher is to pass on knowledge to students. There are a
lot of things which students can never understand just by reading without teachers’
explanation. Teachers’ instructions make sure students perceive correctly then they can apply
what they learn into practice.

In addition, teachers also teach students lessons about behaviors, about social issues and
even give advice to some students when they are in trouble. This is very important to the
development of students’ manners.

In conclusion, teachers are the one who have great influence on the future generation of the
country. They not only motivate and inspire students, but also pass on knowledge to them
and to guide them how to be good citizens, so I think people should respect teachers more.
