Book and Movie Review

I. Bird Box a 2014 post-apocalyptic novel and the

debut novel by American Writer and singer Josh
Malerman in 2018 film directed by Susanne Bier,
based on novel
Bird Box is nothing revolutionary in neither the horror genre &
the apocalyptical movie isle. It has a great cast, a truly great
cast, a truly great performance by Sandra bullock, real good
looking, big-budget-all-over cinematography, visual FX,
shooting locations, action etc., etc. Many aspects of a masterful
filmmaking are on a high enough level – my only complaint on
this matter is that there a few moment of gore, mayhem and
suspense fits the genre but overall I’d describe “Bird Box” as an
r-related apocalyptical adventure movie that could easily have a
lot of teenager in the recent “A Quiet Place” among the review
yet I’d Like to try and avoid comparing these two, but to all
those who compare them, I say “A Quiet Place” was a better
horror movie(emphasis on “horror”).

IV. Setting Malorie and the 2 children, both 4
years old, live in a house by themselves. This first setting in the
novels fame. Malorie and the children leave the house shortly
after this storyline begins to travel down the river towards the
school for the setting is desolate. There are other characters
because there is no one around the house. Its is here that
malerman begins the novels journey into horror and the idea of
isolation.

Malorie and Shannon stay in a modest rental home for first 3

months of the creature’s invasion. The creature invades at the
same time that Malorie’s pregnancy home with only her sister.

v. Plot When a mysterious force decimates the

population, only one thing in certain if you see it, you
die. The Survivor must now avoid coming face to face
with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears.

vi. Theme Bird Box s Netflix’s Latest horror
movies. Some people see the story as a religious a
legacy, while others have theories involving parenting
fears, racism, and social media. Another theory
involves mental health and society’s often negative
portrayal of people experiencing mental illness

can be viewed as one of the most intel gent movies in
the current climate its is a clearly disguised science
fiction film where art imitates life. The viewer is brought
along a metaphorical path submerged into the depths
of ignorance as forced behavior.

ix. Comparison If you thought Bird Box the
movie was dark, you should check out the book the
film, released on Netflix last month, stars Sandra
Bullock as a mom of two who strives to survive and
protect her children from mysterious creatures who
terrorize a post-apocalyptic world by making anyone
who sees them go crazy and commit suicide.
Therefore, the safest course of action would be to
make sure you cannot see anything.
