1) Make sure rifle is

unloaded. Open the bolt and
pull to the rear of the
receiver. Depress the bolt
release and remove the bolt
from the receiver.

2) Pull the cocking piece to

the rear and rotate clockwise
until it is between the two
slots. This will be at the
seven o'clock position if the
bolt is held as shown in
figure 2.

3) Allow the cocking piece to

retract and rest against the
rear of the bolt plug as
shown in figure 3.

6) Slide the the cam follower

forward and out of the slot in
the bolt plug.

7) Separate the cam follower

from the rest of the bolt
assembly.

8) Rotate the locking sleeve

until it can be removed.

9) Figure 9 shows the lugs on

the rear of the bolt's cylinder.
These bolts lock into the bolt
plug. By rotating the locking
sleeve and cylinder the lugs
will unlock from the bolt plug
and allow the locking sleeve
and cylinder to be removed
from the firing assembly.

12) Lift the extractor up

slightly at the face of the
cylinder so it clears the face.
Use a screw driver to push
the extractor off of the
cylinder. It is not
recommended that you
remove the extractor from
any bolt too often as it will
weaken the spring properties
of the extractor and cause
the extractor to not function
optimally.

13) Rotate the cocking piece

clockwise to the slot located
at the nine o'clock position.
Allow the cocking piece to
enter the slot.

14) Figure 14 shows the

cocking piece in the correct
position/slot.

15) Place the handle of the

cocking piece against a
surface such as shown in
figure 15. The small holes in
a reloading tray work perfect
for keeping the round part of
the cocking piece handle in
place while you compress
the spring.

compressed, remove the
firing pin.
