Phenomena CE executed “LOOP failure detection function” manually, the access lost occurred.

1. LOOP failure detection function is used manually (Automatic loop diag ok)
2. Backend loop failure occurs in Path1 loop when backend loop failure detection
function is executed

2 Storage Navigator Modular session encountered invalid timeout

Phenomena A user may not be able to log on to an array from Storage Navigator Modular due to
invalid timeout while using Program Product "Account Authentication" even if the
specified timeout has not been reached. Or, a user may stay logged on from Storage
Navigator Modular while using Program Product "Account Authentication" even if the
specified timeout has been reached. The message "DMEG000212: The current login
session is expired. If you are displaying the subsystem window, please close the
window and login again" is displayed in Storage Navigator Modular.

Conditions of Occurrence When all of the following conditions are met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. Account Authentication is enabled
2. CTC timer in the master CTL and the slave CTL are not synchronized
3. An access from SNM is tried but it reached a CTL that is different from the one
previously accessed due to failure on network or CTL
Cause Timeout check is done on the master CTL. If the CTC timer in the master CTL and the
slave CTL are not synchronized, if a session from SNM is established with the slave
CTL, the timeout may occur at a different timing.

 3 Write command not executed if "PIN is over"
Phenomena SATA HDU failure occurs with the following message "HDU error over" and
Dynamic-sparing process runs. Finally the write command cannot be executed with the
following messages "PIN is over".

Conditions of Occurrence When all of the following conditions are met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. ATA time-out frequently occurs in write operation to SATA HDD
2. Dynamic-sparing feature is executed for the SATA HDD of (1)
3. Setting command executed in SNM or LU ownership change process runs
4. Write dirty data of SATA HDD of (a) frequently change to PIN data by (1) and (3)
5. PIN data are over the threshold and "PIN over" occurs
Cause Due to the microcode bug in the process which changes write dirty data to PIN data
during dynamic-sparing.

4 No failback after FC cable pull-out on local port of the True Copy

Phenomena No failback may be executed on the remaining True Copy path, if FC cable on the
Remote site is pulled-out and put-in, after Local site FC cable pull-out/put-in.

Conditions of Occurrence When all of the following conditions are met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. "True Copy remote replication" or "True Copy Extended Distance" is enabled
2. Pulling-out and putting-in the FC cable on to the Local port
3. Pulling-out and putting-in the FC cable on to the Remote port
Cause Due to the firmware bug, subsystem may modify status wrongly in the local site, and
FC path recovery failure may occur in the Remote site.

1. DF700M or DF700S
2. UPS is used
3. Power outage occurs and electric power of UPS is consumed even a little
4. Power outage occurs 10 minutes or more before power of UPS recovered after (3)
5. Shutdown is executed for DF700 disk array after power outage of (4) recovered
Cause Due to ENC firmware bug in recognition power outage the controller hung-up is
detected, because ENC firmware does not execute power-off process after shutdown

7 The host I/O stopped at local site of True Copy remote replication
Phenomena When subsystem at remote site of True Copy remote replication is shut down, the path
failover of True Copy remote replication occurs and path status to "Diagnosing" and
the host I/O is stopped for subsystem in the local site of True Copy remote replication.
Severity Medium
Conditions of Occurrence When all of the following conditions are met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. Program Product "True Copy remote replication" is enabled
2. The pair status of True Copy remote replication is "COPY" or "PAIR"
3. Host write command issued to controller with out ownership of the LU
4. The path failover of True Copy remote replication occurs by a failure during the
write operation to the subsystem of the remote site after (3)
5. The path status changes to "Diagnosing" by a failure during the write retry operation
to the subsystem of the remote site after (4)
6. Host write command of (3) aborted by host command time-out at same time of (5)
7. The host I/O is issued to the controller which do not have the ownership of the LU
Cause Due to the microcode bug in the abort process for the host write command when the
path status of True Copy remote replication is "Diagnosing".

8 Performance Statistics data over 100

Phenomena Counter of Read Hit (%) and Write Hit (%) in RG information of Performance
Statistics data may hit 100, if user gets the Performance Statistics data from Storage
Navigator Modular, when Performance Monitor and LUN Expansion feature is used.
The incorrect counter is Read Hit (%), Write Hit (%), Read CMD Hit Count and Write
CMD Hit Count in RG information of Performance Statistics data.

1. Program Product "Performance Monitor" is enabled
2. LUN Expansion feature is used
3. Multiple LU can be combined together to create a "Unified LU"
4. The host I/O is issued for a Sub LU in the Unified LU of (3)
5. The Sub LU of (4) is in different RAID group from Main LU in Unified LU of (3)
6. The host I/O is processed as a cache miss by the subsystem
7. User gets the Performance Statistics data from Storage Navigator Modular
Cause Bug in addition process for cache hit counter when "Performance Monitor" is enabled
