ASSIGNMENTS AND EVALUATION

Exams

You will have one mid-term and one final exam in this course. Each exam can have anywhere between 25
to 50 questions and will be of multiple choice formats and will involve calculations and analysis for which
you can use Excel. Some of these questions will require you to show your working in an excel
spreadsheet that you will submit electronically as a part of the exam. Both exams (100 points each) will
be will be held in the class. No makeup exam will be given.

Short Quizzes

In weeks 3 and 9 you will also have short quizzes. These quizzes are worth 20 points each.

Course Grade

a) Midterm Exams = 100 points (week 6)

b) Final Exams = 100 points (week 12)

c) Quiz 1 = 20 points (week 3)

d) Quiz 2 = 20 points (week 9)

Total course = 240 points (a + b + c + d)

Attendance Policy

Gupta COB Graduate Attendance Policy: If a student does not participate online or attend the first
week of classes, without prior approval, the instructor will notify the Office of the Gupta COB Graduate
Enrollment who will then contact the student. While we realize that graduate students are working
professionals, they should contact their instructor when missing a class.

Instructor Feedback

I am accessible through the Brightspace message system, which I check several times a day during the
week and usually once a day on weekends. I will try to get back to you within 24 hours during the week
and within 36 hours during the weekend. Please send course-related e-mails from the Brightspace/D2L
course shell. If your concern needs my immediate attention, please text me at 254.350.0475 and you will
receive an immediate reply. Please provide the course information “BUAD 5350” in the subject line of each
Brightspace message so that I can identify your class. If you text me on my cell phone, please mention
the same information in your text.

E-mail Subject. Place the following as the first entry in the subject box for any e-mail sent: BUAD
5350.

Courtesy Code. All class members are expected to follow rules of common courtesy in all e-mail
messages and communications with one another and the professors. Inappropriate or offensive
communications will be forwarded to the Dean's Office, and appropriate action will be taken, including
expulsion from the class.
