I. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT/ Most of the students are suffering on this situation. There
RATIONALE are times that we forgot to do our school requirements due to
circumstances (e.g lack of time, tiredness, lack of knowledge about
the topics, and requirements to comply)

In Father Saturnino Urios University, a common issue for


students is cramming. The best method for this is to practice
students to learn from their experienced. Cramming or cram
studying is a memorization technique that only lasts for the short
term. For long-term retention of material, it is recommended
students practice active learning and critical thinking through
discussions, individual thinking and studying in groups.

A universal method of testing for admission into


universities was not introduced until the 1940s (Stiggins, 1991).
Restrictive admission standards were utilized when university
administrators and educators agreed that admittance to specific
courses and programs should only be accessible to students after
academic capability has been acknowledged.

On this kind of habit, cramming can embrace you in having a


lot of problems that may affect the behaviour and its character.
However it is associated with exaggerated emotional wellbeing.
However it is significally known as a good basis to the students

who usually crammed if they may affect to their well manner or
not. Additionally, the information that gained can end up being
forgotten or having a short term memory. In this final case,
cramming affects to your health by having a poor habits, may due
to stress and some factors that may affect.

In this result students & researchers are well aware of


cramming strategy in education. However, this research is no means
exhausted. Furthermore, research has not established if cramming is
utilized when the students cramming exam format. For instance, if
cramming has no relation to format and students will get a high
score regardless; the educators might consider cramming in all
exam types. Finally, exam performance is influenced by cramming
behaviour. Educators must learn to recognize the influencer like
social anxiety.

RESEARCH SIGNIFICANCE
The significance of this study is to give information to everyone
what are the effects of cramming to student and to their academic
performances. To know how to manage the time not to delay on
passing the requirement on the given deadline. It encourage you to
create a study method that results again panicking and stress. It may
also give you a short term memory in making your school works on
daily basis. Also this may result a short knowledge to function your
brain to think and make it failed. On this study it can cause a lot of
emotions and not enough time to do the school requirement/s.

1. How does it affects your everyday basis?

2. Why does cramming is a student/s habit?

3.How does it affects your academic performance?

IV. METHODOLOGY

The study employ qualitative research method, it will be used since

qualitative research is a purposive research, descriptive, exploratory
and it aims the reason, feeling and describe the situation. The
purpose of the study is to know how cramming affects students of
St. Benedict of Nursia in their academic performances. In gathering
the data, we interviewed students who encounter cramming and
observe their behavioural actions.
