IBA Arts & Photography Society By-Laws

Article I – Name of Society


The name of the society shall be IBA Arts & Photography Society.

Article II – Affiliation
This society shall not be affiliated with any other society at this time.

Article III – Purpose


The purpose of the IBA Arts & Photography Society is to help people participate
in various artistic activities while sustaining and inspiring creativity. The society
will equally provide a robust and supportive environment for those passionate
about and interested in photography.

Article IV – Membership
Consistent with all IBA policies, this society is available for membership to all
students of the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, irrespective of race,
color, age, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.

Article V – Officers
Section 1: The officers of the IBA Arts & Photography Society shall be as
follows:
Manager
Asst. Manager
Treasurer
Two Campus Coordinators
Seven Executive Council Members

Section 2: Selection of officers. The Patron will select the officers on the basis of
proposal reviews and interviews The office bearers will be selected between 2nd
October and 15th October for the following academic year.
Section 3: Officers shall serve for a period of one full academic year.
Section 4: Officers shall not be on academic or University probation at the time of
their elections and throughout their term of office. (GPA requirement shall be
higher than 2.5 cumulative average)
Section 5: Officers should be in the third semester or beyond of their respective
programs.
Section 6: Officers failing to fulfill the given responsibilities and duties may be
removed by the patron.

Article VI – Meetings
Section 1: A regularly scheduled general meeting shall be held at least once a
month. The patron may call additional meetings when the need arises.

Article VII – Method of Amending Constitution


Section 1: All amendments to this constitution require notice of on week’s time
prior to being discussed and voted upon.
Section 2: The constitution may be amended by a vote of two-thirds majority of
the office bearers.
