Analysis of a Tunnel with Pipe Umbrella

and Multi Stage Grouting
midas GTS 3D Tutorial 35
00 Tunnel with Pipe Umbrella and Multi Stage Grouting
Step
MIDAS IT Co., Ltd.

Overview
This tutorial demonstrates how to
model and perform analysis for a
steel pipe-reinforced multi-step
grouting method.

• The steep tubes are modelled

using beam element that are
embedded in a solid element
which is acting as the grout.

• The start files includes the

geometry profile, attributes,
Figure 1: Front View of Tunnel Profile Figure 2: Isometric view of Tunnel Profile showing steel tubing
properties, and material
definitions.
