THROUGH giving back
The success of a person is not just through the counting of every trophies, awards,
medals and achievements you have acquired; it maybe through hardwork, efforts
and perseverance, but most important thing is the way you give it back.
“Breakthrough”, this quote has been the standard of living by one of our faculty
here in Aquinas University College of Law(AUL). He has been teaching for almost
29years and still counting. For him teaching in law school is a great call or a
“calling”, he's passion for teaching was does not come from the start but it was
nurtured through the years. And, thus, it is the best way to impart and share his
knowledge to future lawyers and practicing lawyers as well.
Prosecutor Dominador Belardo Barrameda, a native of Bacacay, Albay, currently
residing at Legazpi, Albay. Born on June 26,1989. He attain his degree at Aquinas
University as an AB Political Science Student and an academic scholar at such.
According to him, it is not his first choice to become a lawyer, but to become a
doctor. He choose to become a lawyer not just because his father since his child
groom him to be one but also his a big fan of lawyers and as his way of giving back
to his parents and to show respect and gratitude to them.
Though it was never his plan to teach, he was convinced by the former dean Atty.
Edgardo Aragon and dean Judge Arbulfo Cabredo. He pass the bar on the year 1977
and was appointed a prosecutor on 1984.and he started teaching on 1987, since then
it is already 29 years which also includes his prebar lectures at Cosmopolitan pre
bar review for three to four(34)years. Nevertheless, he stayed loyal to the school
which he learned to love, to grow and practically apply all the knowledge he learned
in this school. Thus, showing his respect and gratitude and to give back to the great
school which becme a part of his success today.
He entered AUL, because during that time it was already established and for
practical reasons, probably the same for most of us. During his time as a student,
our batch was treated underrated, the professor thinks that we don't come prepared
in class, because we don't bring any books or notebooks. And we also experience
setbacks during the bar exam, the hardship to express yourself when answering the
questions. But despite all these, their batch become the best group of barristers
from AUL with 100% passing rate which lead to big enrollees for the school. Thus,
“Breaktrough.”
“The experience of meeting in court my previous students, its like a reunion
and I'm very proud of them, one of the best experience I have” – pros. Barrameda.
