Update No. 9

General By Chad Norton and Chris Elkins. Rain was somewhat spotty with most fields getting some, there
were a few that didn’t. However, Jefferson got dumped on, receiving 3.7”. Irrigation has started in
some more fields with several more scheduled very soon. Insect pressure remains very low but that
is expected to change over the next couple weeks as corn earworms begin emerging out of corn
fields. Diseases are not an issue as of now. Refer to table below for field specific information.

Ashley Terral REV R2 Received .4” rain. Initial irrigation applied 7-11. Second irrigation 7-19 if

Chicot Armor V5 Received 1.1” rain. Some grass and broadleaves emerged. Recommended 1
46D08 qt. Cornerstone + 1.3 pt. Dual Magnum.
Clark Pioneer V5 Received .69” rain. 2 oz. Zidua + 24 oz. Envy 6 Max applied 7-3. Initial
P48A32X irrigation on 7-19 if no rain.
Cross Armor R2 Received .3”, Should have full canopy next week, low insect pressure,
48D24 Applied 7/1 32oz glyphosate. Initial irrigation scheduled for July 7.
Desha Armor R3 1 qt. Cornerstone + 1 qt. Prefix applied 7-8. Initial irrigation applied 7-9.
48D24 Looks good. Insect and disease free.
Greene Stine V4 Received .75” rain, Applied 7/4 32oz Liberty + 1.25 pts s-metolachlor.

Jackson - 2 Pioneer R2 Received .4” rain, good control of late flush of pigweeds, low levels of

Jefferson Pioneer R2 Received 3.7” rain after initial irrigation on 7-5. Very clean and rapidly
P43A42X growing. Second irrigation 7-21 if no rain. Insect and disease free.
Lawrence Asgrow R3 Received no rain, Almost R4, most of the field now has good canopy,
46X6 Stinkbug pressure 3/25, second irrigation July 9.
Lee Pioneer R2 Initial irrigation applied 7-9. Second irrigation 7-19 if no rain. Very clean
P47T36R good looking field. Free of insects and diseases.
Lonoke Bayer CZ R1 Started blooming. Initial irrigation applied 7-5 to activate Zidua. Second
4918 LL irrigation 7-19 if no rain. Some emerged morningglories, will evaluate
again next week.
Miller Merschman V9 Dryland. Good control of vast majority of pigweeds, few still trying to hold
Miami on. Need to keep getting rain.

Mississippi Asgrow V6 Received .1.75” rain. Excellent growth, Applied 7/2 32oz glyphosate +
46X6 48oz Warrant Ultra. Initial Irrigation scheduled for July 16.
Monroe Progeny V8 1 qt. Liberty + 8 oz. Select applied 7-9. Initial irrigation 7-17 if no rain.

Phillips Stine R1 Dryland. Started flowering. 1 qt. Liberty + 1.2 pt. Dual Magnum applied 7-

Poinsett Drewsoy V4 Received .85” rain. Good drainage allowed for quick recovery from heavy

Woodruff Stine V3 Received .1” rain, Excellent growth, pre-emerge starting to break,
