“THE GRANDMASTER’S SECRETS”

by GM Igor Smirnov
The practical part.

After the studying of the course "The Grandmaster's secrets" you

have received a certain set of knowledge, using which, you can get the
great progress. Now it is necessary to put the received knowledge into
practice. This practical addition to the course will help you with it. I give
you the program of trainings which accurately explains what and how
you should do.

What will it give to you?

 You will understand the ideas of a course better.

 You will remember the ideas of a course better.
 And the main thing: you will start to put ideas of a course into
practice - so you will really get these practical skills.

The practical course contains 11 tasks (every of them is in a

separate folder). The separate instruction is applied on each task. You
should carry out consistently all tasks from 1st to 11th, following the
corresponding instructions.

The notes:

 In all the tactical tasks the winner starts to move. So you can look
at the result of the game to realize whose turn is it now.
 If the time restriction is not specified (in any task) - it means you
may think as long as you need.
 Remember that you should focus on the quality of your training,
not on the quantity of the performed work.
 Do not use the computer engines during the performing of the
tasks. To train your skills you should think by yourself.
 If something will not be clear to you - learn once again video
lessons 1.1 and 1.2 of the course "The Grandmaster's secrets"
 Even if any task will seem to you simple - I strongly recommend
executing it seriously.
 The chess games are in *.pgn format. Any chess program can
open it. All these games have the text copies for printing also.
 If you can’t open any text files – use the folder “Text files for an
old soft”.

Now you should start to perform the tasks of this course, starting from
the “task 1”.
