Currently, UNSOS does not have any land/ site available for contractor’s
permanent camp within MIA in Mogadishu. However, in the other Sectors, UNSOS
may be able to assist. UNSOS shall review the request from the contractor at the
time of issuance of Mobilization Task Order. Bidders must therefore take into
consideration, in their proposals, the requirement to secure land for establishment
of life support camp in Mogadishu by their own means and cost. UNSOS may only
support in facilitating the request of the contractor(s) to the Local Authorities.

NOTE: DOCOL has a fabrication workshop within the MIA and is able to source
additional land nearby for expansion of the workshop and storage. DOCOL also

owns a piece of land on the main road which can be used for storage and
fabrication whilst it already has a Man Camp within the MIA.

DOCOL plan is to fabricate the containers and then transport them by Road to other
sectors where the work carried out is fittings like toilets etc. DOCOL being a Local
Somali company, we can procure land for fabrication purposes at very short notice.
For life support services DOCOL intends to hire out an existing hotel or
accommodation facility.

DOCOL already has a fully-fledged setup in Baledogle, with units in Kismayo,

Jowhar and Baidoa which gives an edge on mobilisation
