Coating Inspector for 3LPE coating at PPSC Industries for IN-SALAH Gas Pipeline Project.

Responsibilities :
Monitoring and inspection on 3LPE coating and internal flow coating process for 48”OD line
pipe. Ensuring coating process carried out by contractor in accordance to procedures,codes,
standards and client specifications.Also witness field and lab testing i.e: peel test, impact test,

AUG. 2001-DEC. 2001: Employed by SGS (M) Sdn Bhd Seconded to JAPANESE

APRIL 2001-JULY 2001: Employed to Nippon Keiji Kentei (M) Sdn Bhd Seconded to Mitsui
Japan as Logistic / Metarial Inspector for 4LPP coating at Bredero Shaw (M) Sdn Bhd for ECHO
YODEL Gas Pipeline Project.

Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring of coated pipes and load-out activities at Bredero Shaw (M) Sdn Bhd.
Responsible for QA matter such as pipe identification, damage and repair work on damage
coating.
Highlight product non-conformance and liaise with the contractor pertaining to material receiving
and load out activities.

FEB.2001-APRIL 2001: Employed by Bureau Veritas (M) Sdn Bhd and seconded to SCSM
Consortium (SAIPEM) .Appointed as Coating Inspector for Fahud-Sohar Gas Pipeline (Oman)
Project and stationed at PPSC Industries Sdn Bhd Kuantan.

Responsibilities:
Monitoring and inspection on 3LPP coating and internal Flow Coating process carried out by
contractor in accordance with client code, standards and specifications. Also witness site and Lab
test i.e. peel test, hardness test, impact test, bending test, indentation test, cathodic dis-bondment
and also DFT and WFT measurement. Also reviewed and verified inspection and production
reports.
DEC.2000-FEB.2000: Employed by Germanischer Llyod Malaysia (GLM) and seconded to
VIETSOV-PETRO. Appointed as Coating Inspector for RANG DONG- BACH HO Gas Pipeline
and stationed at Bredero Shaw (M) Sdn Bhd.

Responsibilities
Monitoring and inspection of 3LPP coating, concrete coating and anode installation.Ensuring
coating process carried out by contractor in accordance to the client codes, standards and
specifications.Witnessing lab and site testing such as peel test, impact test, indentation test,
concrete strength and water immersion tests. Also reviewed and verified contractor production
test and reported to GLM.

SEPT.2000-DEC.2000: Employed by Dialog E&C appointed as Technical QC for Propane and

Butane Looping Pipeline(Petronas Gas Berhad) and stationed at Kemaman
Terengganu.

Responsibilities
To ensure the approved procedures and specification are fully complied based on standard
required specification. Apart from that, was also assigned to check and ensure welding works
complied with client’s specification and standard. Other responsibilities also monitoring welding
procedures complied with safety requirements prior to commencement of any welding activities.
Other inspection also covers fit-up, parameter check, visual inspection on completed weld,
monitoring on blast, wrap and holiday test. Detail of works performed and other inspection
reports were up-date on daily basis.

JUNE 2000-SEPT.2000: Employed by Projass Enecorp Sdn.Bhd. appointed as Technical QC for

Ethane Pipeline(Petronas Gas Berhad) and stationed at Kertih
Terengganu.

Responsibilities
Responsible to identify and inspection as followed approved procedures and specification. Works
involved such as monitoring welding as approved procedures before start of activity, fit-up
inspection, parameter check, visual inspection on completed weld, monitoring on blast, wrap and
holiday test. Also up-dating and compiling of all inspection report.

MAY 1999-MAY 2000: Employed to MMC-IPCO-MURPHY JV appointed as Technical QC for

Peninsular Gas Utilization Loop 2(Petronas Gas Berhad) Pipeline 265 km
Project and based at Seremban,Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities
Responsible to inspect and to identify works assigned was based as per approved procedures and
specification. Responsible to inspect welding activities performed complied with the client’s
procedures requirement and standard. Also involves in monitoring of welding preparation such as,
fit-up inspection, parameter check, visual inspection, monitoring on blast-wrap and holiday test.
Up-dating and compiling of all inspection report.
AUG.1997-MAY 1999: Employed by Velosi (M) Sdn Bhd appointed as Pipeline Inspector for
OGP TECHNICAL SERVICES for Peninsular Gas Utilization Loop 1
Pipeline 285 km project and based at Kuantan,Pahang.

Responsibilities
Responsible for inspection, monitoring, witnessing and supervision of pipeline construction works
and progress which is to ensure the construction activity performed by contractor according to
approved specification and procedures. Works involved such as pipes handling, storage and load
out. Also supervised ROW clearing and grading, trenching, joint coating and repair, lower in and
backfilling.

JAN.1992-AUG.1997: Employed by Bredero Shaw (M) Sdn Bhd and was appointed as QC
Inspector.

Responsibilities
Responsible in inspection activity for oil and gas pipeline anti- corrosion including internal and
external blast clean, internal and external epoxy paint, FBE coating,3LPE&3LPP coating, asphalt
and concrete coating. Also ensure that instruments used are calibrated in accordance with
procedures and specification. To do quality check on surface preparation as accordance to
governing bodies such as NACE,British Standards,Swedish Standard ext.Other activities
including administering of production test for materials used was with accordance to any technical

Tallied and recorded all received materials. Ensuring all received materials were in good
condition and complied with the standard requirements. Also performed threading inspection for
steel casing and steel tubing. Apart from that, also performed quality control inspection of all
equipments to be used in blasting and painting operation.

Responsibilities
Involved in inspection activities for the oil and gas pipeline anti corrosion coating including blast
cleaning, epoxy painting, FBE&3LPE/PP, internal coating, asphalt/coal tar enamel coating,anode
installation and concrete weight coating.Ensure that instruments used for inspections activities
was calibrated in accordance with Inspection&Test Plan(ITP) and Quality Plan(QP). Also
involved in lab testing such as indentation, impact test, bend test, pinhole test, elongation test,
peel/adhesion test, cathodic dis-bondment and cure test for FBE & 3LPE/PP coating, softening
point, penetration test, primer volatile test, primer viscosity, concrete strength test, concrete
density test water absorption and push off test particularly for Enamel & Concrete coating.
