COLOR OF THE DAY

I. RATIONALE

Colors do indeed speak louder than words. Color plays a vitally important role in

the world in which we live. Color can sway thinking, change actions, and cause reactions.

It can irritate or soothe your eyes, raise your blood pressure or suppress your appetite.

When used in the right ways, color can even save on energy consumption.

As a powerful form of communication, color is irreplaceable. Red means "stop"

and green means "go." Traffic lights send this universal message. Likewise, the colors

used for a product, web site, business card, or logo cause powerful reactions. Color

Matters!

The right color is worth ten thousand words. According to Singh, Satyendra,

"Impact of color on marketing", Management Decision p. 44, 90% of the information sent

to the brain is visual while 62%- 90% of our reactions are based on color. Color has a

profound effect on the mind and behavior. Every color – and every shade of a color –

embodies a message that can sway thinking, change actions and cause strong emotional

reactions.

It is within these reasons why the proponent conceptualized this project: Color of

the Day. Proceeds of this project will be purchased for paints to put colors on the Grade 3

zone.

Objectives:

Color of the Day aims to:

1. save money for the procurement of paints for the grade 3 zone;
2. make the Grade 3 zone pleasing to the eyes by putting colors on situated areas;

and

3. instill in the minds of stakeholders the spirit of sharing.

II. DESCRIPTION

Color of the Day is in consonance with the Brigada Eskwela 2019 which focuses

on the physical improvement of the school and likewise in School Based Management

wherein there is a need to develop quality learning and one way to develop quality

learning is to develop a good learning habit for the learners. Making the surroundings

colorful is one way to enhance learning. It attracts learners and will stimulate brain

function, thus motivate them to learn.

Color of the Day will be for learners, parents and teachers as well. The proponent

will prepare one mouthed empty bottle and will place stickers with different colors. Every

after special occasion, meetings and other gatherings, the proponent will draw one color

sticker and that will serve as the color of the day. Those who are wearing clothes with the

same resemblance with the color drawn will give their pledges with 5 pesos as the

minimum amount. This will be done after the proper protocol and some ethical issues. The

proponent and or assigned officers of the day will go likewise from classroom to

classroom drawing color sticker. For learners, their pledge will be a minimum of one peso.

Officers of the Day will be created per Grade Level to help the proponent do the

task. Officers of the Day will go room to room once a week to implement the project.

They will remit the compiled money to the proponent on the same day that they conducted

classroom to classroom.
Color of the Day will be done from January – March, 2019 for the learners and

January to April for Teachers and Parents.
