The detailed design drawings should
contain the details and standard
drawings for water works consisting of
civil, mechanical and electrical works.

The preparation of detailed design drawings


shall be based on the final selected or final
configuration of the proposed water system.
Detailed Design Drawings should include at least the following:

• Cover Page

• Table of Contents with Index Plan

• General Notes / Legends and Symbols

• Site Development / Site Grading Plan

• Plan of Water Supply Facilities


Typical Title Block contains:

• Name of the Project

• Name of Municipality

• Area to be served

• Municipal Official’ s Name

• Designer’s Name

• Index Drawing

•Adequate depth, proper backfill and compaction

•To avoid damage from tire loads, etc.

2. Importance of thrust blocks:

•To counter thrust forces on fittings and other devices

•At changes in direction

•Yes

•Not so much

•Only at source
