TUESDAY, JUNE 11 | NOON HOUSTON CLASSICAL GUITAR FESTIVAL
Festival faculty, Eddie Healy and Jeremy García, will be joined by Brandi Estwick,
mezzo soprano, for a concert of music for guitar and voice. Program will include
Flamenco selections as well as performances by
featured festival students.
THURSDAY, JUNE 13 | NOON DUO DRAMATIQUE
Hailed as “riveting” and “passionate”, the Duo
Dramatique (formerly the Dancewicz-Doucet Duo) is a
renowned Houston violin and piano ensemble. You are sure to enjoy a
stunning musical journey from gorgeous romantic pieces, to Broadway, pop
and folk favorites.
FRIDAY, JUNE 14 | 11:00 A.M. ERMELINDA CUELLAR JAZZ TRIO A graduate from the Moores School of
Music at the University of Houston, vocalist Ermelinda Cuellar is joined by guitarist Greg Petito and bassist
Anthony Caceres to perform a program of traditional jazz songs from the swing,
blues and bossa nova songbooks. A patient-focused interactive concert.

TUESDAY, JUNE 18 | NOON WINDSYNC A collective of five wind musicians who
come together as performers, educators, and community-builders. WindSync concerts are
intimate, joyful, and thoughtfully programmed with people and places in mind.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19 | COMMUNITY-EMBEDDED MUSICIANS A special initiative of the
Houston Symphony that places orchestral musicians in schools, neighborhoods and healthcare settings. A duo of
musicians will tour various waiting rooms throughout Houston Methodist Hospital and bring the power of live music
to staff, patients and visitors.

AFA SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL CONCERT SERIES


A F A S U M M E R M U S I C F E S TI V A L

Each year AFA serves over 3,000 young musicians through 40,000+ classroom
hours of rehearsals, performances and educational programs. Now in its 24th
year, the Summer Music Festival hosts over 500 talented young artists, providing
a supportive environment with renowned music educators and world-class
performers to help them grow and develop as musicians.

A concert showcasing some of Houston's most gifted young classical musicians who will be performing
music for piano, violin, cello and guitar.
THURSDAY, JUNE 27 | 12:45 P.M. & 1:00 P.M. HOUSTON METHODIST SINGERS
Celebrate U.S. Independence Day with a brief concert of stirring patriotic music sung by the
employee choir. 12:45 performance in Crain Garden, Dunn Tower; 1:00 performance in Bush Atrium, Walter Tower

Crain Garden concerts are located in Dunn Tower at 6565 Fannin St

Outpatient Center, First Floor Lobby concerts are located at 6445 South Main St

Bush Atrium is located on the second floor of Walter Tower at 6551 Bertner Ave

Any Houston Methodist employee who purchases from the Fannin Street Café
in the main lobby during the concerts will receive a 15 percent discount.
