As their teacher I was the one who gave grades to them. I did not follow what

they had told me. As teachers we should had our strong words. We should stick to what

we had.

There were students who were not that good inside the class, there were lazy

students who were not passing their requirements. As their teacher, I made activities that

will made them interested on it.

I learned that teaching was not about how much salary you get from it but it was

about the outcome. It was a great thing if your students learn a lot from you. Learning

was not just about what’s written on the book but it should be on how you respond to the

real life situations. Attitude is what matters the most.

I have learned how to manage my time well. Because I experience that after my

class it was not the end of it, I need to prepare my new lesson at night.

I have gained some personal insight into the subject of extracurricular activities.

In Tagaytay City Science High School they were developing the talents and skills of the

students not just in academic aspects but in everything.

I learned that students should not always be inside the classroom and listening to

the discussion, students must explore things and learn by their experiences.

I know that showing support for students during various activities was a great

help for them to boost their confidence and it was a positive example as teacher and role-

model. But in order to find balance between a personal life and meeting the post-teaching

hourly obligations of grading and planning, I planned to limit my involvement in the

future.

Students and teacher relationship should had a boundary, we may become friends

outside the classroom but they should respect me as their teacher when we were inside

the classroom and as a teacher we should respect our students too.

As we get to know each other better, it gets easier to voice disagreement.

Sometimes it may not be the most tactful, but no one means to offend and no one takes

the comments personally. We were all learning from each other’s perspectives. I, as their

teacher I respected what decision they had.

Experience was the best teacher. I learned a lot from my practice teaching

journey. I should be prepared because there might be circumstances that come along our

way. Problems were just problem, it would not be a big hindrance for us to accomplish all

the things we planned. If we failed once, we must try doing it again because God given us

a lot of chances

I was grateful to my students because they did not disappoint me instead they

make me proud of them and they boosted my confidence. They possessed discipline that

is why it became easy for me to handle them.

The most important thing I learned in my practice teaching journey was that I

needed to fair in giving grades to my students, there might be consideration but not all the

time because sometimes that considerations was used by the students to have a passing

grade although they were not qualified to pass.

I believe that I was not only a teacher. I was also a molder and transformer of

youth for them to become a successful person. An effective teacher would not form only

a good mind to their students but also a good heart.

Over all I have grown prepared in my management skills throughout that

experience and had gained a lot of confidence in my ability to improve further with each

future classroom.

I am now ready to face the challenge that would come along my way. I was

developed by my school, Cavite State University, as a globally competitive and morally

upright individual. I am competitive in a good way and I fight a good fight of faith.

I will used all the thing I had learned in my practice teaching journey to become a

successful teacher.
