(5) In general,mechanical equipment should be fitted throughout and electrical equipment avoided (6) Starting of all existing diesel engines with non- flaneproof electric starting equipment is to effected only under permit, (7) When existing equipment is modified for use in Hazardous Areas as in 3 above,measures should be taken to ensure that use is not made of vehicle lighting or auxiliary electrical oystewe while operating in a hazardous arca.
