exhibit, Silk & Stitch: An Exploration of
Embellishment in Fashion, July 12. The
exhibit provides a glimpse into specific
embellishing techniques and applications
that appeared in women’s fashions in
DeKalb County throughout the late 19th
to early 20th centuries. The garments and
accessories were pulled from the DeKalb
History Center’s textile collection as well
as loans from outside sources.
