Plastomix® -250
Mid-Range Water Reducing Concrete Admixture

DESCRIPTION
Plastomix® -250 is a newly developed admixture
for concrete with mid-range reducing effect. It is
concentrated solution based on Synthetic Polymer
and additives.
Plastomix® -250 is complied with ASTM C494 -81
Type A & D.
USES
• Cost effectiveness required for conventional
concrete.
• Where increased workability is required.
• Use in mixes where cement saving is required.
• Especially suitable for concrete containing
cement replacements such as PFA (fly ash) or
GGBFS (slag).
CHARACTERISTICS/ADVANTAGES
Plastomix® -250 provides the following properties:
• Water reduction up to 15% against control mix.
• Improve utilization of cement.
• Improved watertightness.
• Equal strengths to control mix with less cement.
• Better improvement for final strength.
• Compensates for slow early strength gain
achieved by cement replacements (PFA, GGB-
FS).
• Increased workability and placeability.
• Longer slump retention.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION
Dosage 0.2-0.6L (0.24-0.71kg) per 100kg of cement

Mixing Add the correct amount of Plastomix® -250 at the concrete plant. Addition
should be by automatic dispenser into the water line at the batching plant. Do
not add directly on to the dry sand or cement.

Important indication Accidental overdosing of Plastomix® -250 causes an extention of initial and
final setting time, particular in combination with PFA up to 30% replacement.

ECOLOGY, HEALTH AND SAFETY LEGAL NOTES

Ecology: do not dispose of into water or soil, but
according to local regulations.
Transportation class: non-hazardous.
Waste disposal: according to local law.
Toxicity: Non-toxic.
Precautionary measures: wear goggles and rubber
gloves. Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Wash off
thoroughly with soap water. In case of contact with
eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with clean warm
water and seek medical attention without delay.
Avoid contact with food stuff and utensils
