Personal Educational Philosophy

My personal philosophy of teaching and learning is a product of many influence

including my own experience, I become a role model in my students’ eyes. I have the
privilege of looking after and shaping the future generations of our societies.

When I was a child I don’t know what I become but now I want to be a teacher who
fulfil the needs of my students to shape my students’ lives, through providing an
educational experience which helps them to become successful individual, I want to able to
work and survive on their own.

My perspective is what I learned, I feel and experience during teaching and college
days. I want to adapt my styles to suit the children’s need and the teaching context. I realize
we as teachers can’t always have our way, so we need to be flexible, and I would happily
change the way I operate, to benefit my students and maximize their learning

I believe learners are individuals who bring a unique set of needs and abilities to the
classroom and that they should be encouraged to become responsible for their own
learning, especially as they mature. I believe that a teacher’s primary role is that of a
facilitator of learning, creating opportunities for learning which improve the chances of
student success. I believe that the. I believe that the learning environment is a shared, public
place that must be welcoming, safe, and their responsibility of those who share it. I believe
it is important to recognize and embrace the diversity of learner’s growth. And I believe that
if you are passionate in teaching you never tired for what you do or what you provide an
effort.
I believe that the role of the teacher is to be everything! A teacher should be a hero
to those children, a role model, they look up to, but a teacher should also be a parent, a
friend, and a life coach. I believe it’s a teacher’s role to provide that education. To nurture
and watch their students grow, developed this belief I observed my closest teacher they are
hardworking communicate them and share what they experience. Teaching is important
skills in life like reading and writing, plan ahead paper works, lesson plan it’s very difficult
but they never gave up witnessing them, has further led to cementing my belief. They are
wonderful young woman, who knows each of her individual students’ circumstances.
Whether they have family problems, learning difficulties or have immense potential but are
just not motivated. She knows all this because she cares about her students, and wants to
prepare them for life just like she was prepared in her schooling days.
During my practice teaching I also learn to my cooperating teacher Ms. Mendoza
taught me that we are teachers one of the most influential people in a child’s life.

They always say getting to know students - strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes so
that I will give their individual needs and help them grow. As student teacher, we need to
act like a professional teacher.

After the weeks of observations, we are now to apply all the knowledge and good
things we got during my observation period in the school of J.P Rizal Elementary School,
we have advices that were given to us on how to perform our duties and responsibilities as
a student teacher inside the room.

When I was assigned to teach Grade VI level, my first week of teaching, it was very
hard for me to act like a real teacher, making lesson plans and visual aids at night. I felt
tired during the first week of my teaching. I am always thinking what am I going to do on
how can execute my lesson well. but I was lucky enough to have a very approachable and
supportive cooperating teacher because she was always willing to help and support me,
share ideas and suggestions to the fullest. Another important part of teaching was on how
to deal and building rapport with my students. during this period, I felt that I was imparting
knowledge to them and in return, they gave me support and respect.in this my actual
practice teaching, I realized being a teacher is very challenging and enjoyable although it is
very difficult task but then, with the student who’s eager to learn, cooperative, funny and
sweet as inspire the teacher to teach. This was the first time I realized and proves to myself
what my teacher told us before that teaching is the most enjoyable and inspiring profession.

All the learning that we acquired from our mentors and supervisors as well as our
own experiences will serve us a guide in the path of teaching. Their comments, suggestions,
constructive criticism, and words of encouragement for us as well as their correction,
checking and supervision will make us finest future teacher. We all know that we learn from
our own mistakes and experiences. If you’re not better this time, tomorrow is another
chance to shine. We must put into our mind that there’s always a room for improvement
wherein we learn through training and practices. Let us not be afraid to be corrected and
given an advice from our superior because they want to help us improve ourselves and I
know training experiences that is needed to move into a future successful life

“Education is a powerful weapon we can use to change the world”
– Nelson Mandela

Teaching was for pleasure and enjoyment. This also goes the same with
the feeling of being respected and valued for as a teacher.

As a Student teacher when I enter at Jose P. Rizal Elementary School in Tayuman,

Tondo, Manila, I experienced a lot, handling Eight Sections of Grade Six students with
different situations and scenario.
My classes usually range between 20 and 25 students in every sections.
The problems that I face were of two types. There was not enough time for all of them to
express themselves and students tend to take too much time to react to questions due to
their lack of proficiency. Also the Noise of handling students because there so many.
Inside the classroom. And also Adjustment the subject matter that I will teach
The students that I handled were of various kinds of personality. There
are students who love engaging themselves in organizations and peers while others
prefer to be alone. There were students who were fast learners, average learners or
slow learners. Adjusting to the level of their capabilities was a must. I believed that every
student was unique and was capable of learning in different ways. Using various
strategies and instructional materials which were useful to meet students’ needs were
important to attain desired learning goal

Even I encounter problems, I experienced many great moments while teaching

That’s why I choose to be a teacher because I want to make a difference. I could have
chosen a different field where I could serve the society but I think that education is the
right field where I could fully realize this goal.
Being a Student Teacher I should have a responsibility, preparing to enter the
professions for us to experience real word teaching will enable us to be develop and
prepared for the actual teaching profession. education is the most important asset any
one will have, and one asset which has the greatest impact on the person and to everyone
around them. While almost every child has the opportunity to gain access to kindergarten
and elementary education, not everyone has the chance to be given quality education.

Dividend – a number to be divided by another number.
Divisor – number by which another number is to be divided and a number
that divides into another without a remainder.
Multiplication – is one of the four elementary mathematical operations of
arithmetic; with the others being addition, subtraction and division.
Cell – is a box in which you can enter a single piece of data. The data is
usually text, a numeric value, or a formula. The entire spreadsheet is
composed of rows and columns of cells.

4. Learning Experiences:
4.1 Explain the division and multiplication skills.
 Multiply numbers in a simple formula by using the asterisk (*) as the
multiplication operator.

Multiply numbers in cells

No matter how good you are with your times tables, let Excel Online
be your calculator. Multiply numbers in a simple formula by using the
asterisk (*) as the multiplication operator.
1. Select an empty cell and type an equal (=) sign. (Remember that all
formulas begin with an equal sign).
2. Type your numbers with an asterisk (*) between each number.
3. Press Enter to get the formula result.

For example, to multiply 54 times 89, your formula would look like this:

o =54*89

FORMULA =PRODUCT(A1:A2:A3;)

 Divide symbol in Excel

The common way to do division is by using the divide sign. In
mathematics, the operation of division is represented by an obelus symbol
(÷). In Microsoft Excel, the divide symbol is a forward slash (/).
With this approach, you simply write an expression like =a/b with no spaces,
where:
o a is the dividend - a number you want to divide, and
o b is the divisor - a number by which the dividend is to be divided.

1. How to divide numbers in excel?

To divide two numbers in Excel, you type the equals sign (=) in a cell,
then type the number to be divided, followed by a forward slash, followed
by the number to divide by, and press the Enter key to calculate the formula.

For example, to divide 10 by 5, you type the

following expression in a cell: =10/5

The screenshot below shows a few more

examples of a simple division formula in Excel.

To divide two cells in Excel, you use the divide symbol exactly like
shown in the above examples, but supply cell references instead of
numbers.

For example:

1. To divide cell A2 by 5: =A2/5

2. To divide cell A2 by cell B2: =A2/B2
3. To divide multiple cells successively, type cell references separated by
the division symbol. For example, to divide the number in A2 by the
number in B2, and then divide the result by the number in C2, use this
formula: =A2/B2/C2.
C. Culminating Activities
1. Generalization
Learning in Excel with the use of formula in multiplication and division
can give opportunity to students to enhance solving skills and can be
applied in the real life concepts as part of their everyday life.

2. Assessment

Items Quantity Price Per Piece Solve
1. Potato 6 3 =Product(6*3)
2. Garlic 10 5 =Product(10*5)
3. Onion 6 5 =Product(6*5)

Use the Formula (Division)

Items Quantity Price Per Piece Solve
1. Pizza 4 40 =160/4
2. Cake 3 100 =300/3
3. 13 10 = 130/13
