regardless if it’s formal or informal training. The success of the business relays on the
effectiveness of the service trainers the company has. This study will investigate and
determine the relationship of the service trainers Leadership Skills and Competencies in
a Fast Food Company and anchored with the following theories, books, articles and
related studies.

Fast food is everywhere. People seek foods that are fast and easy a demand
that arise the boom of street vendors, food trucks, delivery services, sports arenas, and
even convenience stores and gas stations. All those mentioned offer food that can be
bought hurriedly, inexpensively, and eaten be eaten right away. Everyone is not
exempted of becoming such a fast food lover In the pilot study entitled Essential
Competencies as Perceived by Multi-Unit Operations and Human Resources Leaders in
the Restaurant Industry it states that generic competencies, which are considered "soft
skill" in nature, could be identified among multi-unit restaurant operations and human
resources leaders in the quick service, fast casual, casual dining and fine dining
segments; thus providing a guide for restaurant leaders to use when hiring new
managers into their organizations as well as giving credibility to the idea of hiring
managers with diverse dining segment experience. The main competency rankings from
both the human resources and operations leaders showed that the "core values and
ethics” competency was considered the most important, followed by "leadership" and
"work ethic" ( Butler.,2006)

In the book “Leadership: A Communication Perspective it states that leadership

is a fundamental element of the human condition. The existence of society will not be
possible without leadership they are inseparable in nature. Leadership is an integral part
of human life whether its rural or in the urban area .(Hackman, Johnson., 2013) A place
will become chaotic if leadership among people does not exist. Each one has a potential
of being a leader regardless of the status that we have, the culture we belong or even
the country we came from. Developing leadership skills in any institution or situation
encompasses putting on hold and learning from the former faults so that errors are not
repeated. In the study entitled “Contemporary Leadership and Intercultural
Competence” states that in the 21st leadership success may be unattainable without
intercultural competence (Moodian 2009) Every fast food company has different cultural
values being practiced passed through years already a leader must know how to blend
with the kind of nature the institution is into. Much of the trainers time is spent critically
examining different issues that involves training procedures and the effectiveness of
their trainings conducted to their trainee.
