Tax and Compliance Accountant


Qualifications and Job Description

Qualifications:
1. Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
2. Must have least 3 years of solid working experience in the field of accounting and
taxation.
3. Must have an ample professional experience in representing clients in tax assessments
and transacting with government agencies.
4. Must have an experience in complying legal requirements of Bureau of Internal Revenue,
Securities and Exchange Commission, Local Government Units, Social Security System ,
Philhealth, Home Development Mutual Fund, etc.
5. Must have an ample experience in preparing Tax Returns.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Finance and Government Division Head in ensuring company compliance with
all relevant laws and company obligations.

2. Assist the Finance and Government Division Head in ensuring Group’s compliance with
all legal reportorial requirements of Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange
Commission and local government units which must be filed and paid accurately and in
timely manner.

3. Assist the Finance and Government Division Head in complying the regularization and
keeping of the corporate books and records of the group.

4. Coordinate with the different Companies and departments of the Group to ensure
compliance with BIR regulatory matters, particularly on the registration of new branches,
warehouses and buildings for rent, software and systems and new employees, among
others.

5. Review all mandatory reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to the BIR and SEC to ensure
accuracy before filing and payment of taxes and fees.

6. Review and ensure that all BIR and SEC mandatory reports are completely filed and paid
on a timely manner.

7. Review on a regular basis the registration Group’s companies and operations to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Be updated with new BIR and Securities and Exchange Commission’s rules and
regulations

9. Coordinate with the group’s external auditor for the preparation of audited financial
statements.

10. Assist the Finance and Government Division Head in drafting and/or preparing letters
and/or correspondences to government and other entities as requested.

11. Provide advice to the Group on tax and SEC matters

12. Keep and maintain the BIR, SEC and local government records and documents of the
Group and ensure their completeness, authenticity and organization.
