A. Reviewing previous
lesson or Teacher will show pictures, a home and a house
presenting the new lesson

After showing the pictures, teacher ask the students


What is the difference of home and house?
Why do you say so?
In cultural aspects of Filipinos, what forms of marriage is a common practice among Filipinos? Why do you say so?
Comment on the saying “a house is made by hand but a home is made by hearts”

B. Establishing a purpose Base from the presentation, teacher asks the following question:

What is a family?
What do families do together?

C. Presenting examples/ The teacher will show a video presentation about family and the types of family

3. If you are going to build your own family, what will be your desired number of children? Why?
4. Is there a policy limiting the number of children here in our country?

D. Discussing new Group Activity: Picto-Analysis (seating arrangement shall be classic)

 The teacher will form 4 groups (seating arrangement shall be classic structure)

 Students will analyze the pictures and answer the following process questions.
Questions to be asked
1. What is the picture all about?
2. What type of family is in the picture?
3. What composes that type of family?

and practicing new skills #2 The student will do an activity decoding of words
Mechanics of the activity
• The teacher will form 4 groups (seating arrangement shall be in classroom classic structure)
• The teacher will distribute the worksheet to the students for them to decode the words to form the quote about family. When the
group is done, they will all stand up and read the quote and give a brief explanation.
Process questions:
1. What does the quotes trying to say?
2. Does the quotes explains the importance of having a family? Why do you say so?
