Camosun College - Graphic Standards*

Consistency is the key to successfully conveying the Camosun brand and building a strong visual identity
for the college. The following guidelines outline the proper usage of the logo and are to be applied on all
forms of communication (including advertising, signage, printed publications and electronic media like
websites and social media).

Camosun Logo - Regular
The regular logo consists of the “CC swoosh”and the wordmark. Both elements must be used together as
shown below and maintain adequate contrast and visibility in all applications (e.g. avoid using the logo on
a patterned or brightly coloured background that would conflict or clash with the colour or legibility).
The regular logo is to be used on all marketing materials, publications and web pages.

Regular logo - Full Colour


The regular logo is to be used on all full
color applications.

Regular logo - Black


The solid black version is for use on
newsprint or one colour applications
with a light/white background.

Regular logo - White


Reverse logo is for use on a black or
dark coloured background to ensure
adequate contrast.

The corporate logo is to be reserved for use on official documents like contracts, credentials,
letterhead, business cards, etc.

Camosun Logo - Tagline
The tagline “Change everything.” can be used with the logo in the following formats or as a stand alone graphic
for certain applications.

There will be occasions where a different
sort of tag representation is required – an
energetic graphic gesture that boldly
endorses the “change”character of the
new brand. This version of the tag can
assume many forms depending on the
context (clothing, electronic media, posters).
It can be as shown here, or handwritten,
etched out of metal, wood, rubber stamped
or embossed. The proportions of the element
and the basic character of the font should
remain the same however.

Logo Colours
Green and grey are the two official colours used in the Camosun logo and the colour breakdowns are
given below. The logo must only appear in these official colours - or in the solid black or solid white
depending on application.

Minimum size and clear space

Minimum Size
The logo should not be reproduced
smaller than 1”(2.54 cm) wide.

Note: The logo must be enlarged or


reduced proportionately – not stretched
or distorted horizontally or vertically.

The minimum space is equal to the height


of the “N” in the word Camosun.
