2. “New Check”

Click the button, the following interface pops up:

Enter patient information in the basic information dialog box. The “Name” and “Age” field are
required fields, while all other fields are optional.

For example, input “Ann” in the “Name” field and “33” in the “Age” field in the interface below:

Click the “Save case” button to store this case.

Click the “Detail Data” button, the following interface pops up, which allows more detailed
patient information to be entered.

Click “OK” after input is complete.

Enter Birth Date

Click on the “Birth Date” field to reveal the drop-down menu as shown below:

Click on the month to reveal the drop-down menu for selecting month.

Click on the year to reveal the upward and downward arrows for selecting year.

Click on the desired date to complete “Birth Date” field.

Click on the button to add new patient data to the patient list.

Click on the button, the following interface pops up:

Capture an image and freezes it.

Capture an image without freezing.

Starts video recording with the record time displaying at the top left column.

This function is not available.

Stops the video recording and displays the video record time at the top left column.

Click this button to display video interface display in full screen, click again to
return to normal screen display.

Click on this button to enter case report interface.

Image Magnification: Click the small image on the left to enlarge the image, to click it again,
image will return to normal.

Delete image: Click the right key of the mouse at the left image, the small image can be
deleted if click “yes” in the pop up dialog box.

3. “Recheck”

Click , the following window will pop up:

Display all the patients for selection.

Search patient

In the patient search box, enter the searching condition, click to find the patient to be
rechecked. Then, select the patient to be rechecked, the right side will show the patient name.
For example, input “Emily”, the following interface will pop up.

Select “Emily” and input patient age in the “Age” field, then click , the
following interface will pop up:

4. “Report”

Click the button, the following search window appears (default is the data of the
current day):

Fast Search

By “Today”, “Month” or “Year”: “Today” is to display the patient files of the current day.
“Month” and “Year” are to display the check records of the current month or current year.

Comprehensive Search

To search by patient name, check items, contents, ID number, start date, etc. or the conditions
combined together.
Review and magnify image

After the patient is selected, the patient information and images will be displayed at the right
side. Click the two buttons under the image; the images could be viewed one by one. Click the
image could magnify it. Click it again to close the image.

All

To display all the patient files in the record list.

Report

After select a patient, click the button to enter the case report interface as follows:

Detail Data

To display detailed patient information and modify it.

Check Record

To enter the record interface and record patient Diagnosis Result.

In the pop up dialog box, click each column, and then a list of check results could be selected.

For example:

Chief complaint
Click the column below “Chief complaint”, the follow interface will pop up. Then choose one
of the item, click “OK”. Or you could choose to edit the glossary by clicking the “Edit
glossary” button.

NOTE: The left image is the current patient’s image. Click the image; you can magnify
the image to see it more clearly.

RCI Grading Index

This system provides a quantitative evaluation method which is a study result of the American
Society of Oncology and OB/GYN on colposcopy examination results. Many colposcopy
experts propose to use the Grading system to evaluate the degree of abnormality of the
transformation zone. The purpose is to avoid subjective judgment, and provide a valuable
Grading standard, so that the histology and pathology diagnosis can be forecasted based on the
clinical findings. Such a Grading method, based on the four symptoms of colposcopy – border,
color, vessel and iodine response as the classification index, relates the colposcopy with
histology and pathology to the highest degree. Although colposcopy index has not been
completely accepted by the clinical colposcopy field, it indeed provides the clinical colposcopy
with a unified term and is used to predict the diagnosis results for the references of the
colposcopy doctors.

RCI Evaluate

Enter RCI Grading interface and perform evaluation.

The system RCI Grading method:

Border Grading: In the Grading items, select “border”, then, the Grading content will appear in
the list. Click the Grading item, and tick the selected item.

Color, vessel, and iodine coloring Grading method, same as “border Grading”.

After the above four Gradings are finished, the system will give the Grading results
automatically.

“Hide Legend” and “Result Browse”: Same with the corresponding buttons in the check
records.

Comparison

To enter the comparison and analysis interface for supplementary diagnosis and pathology
analysis.

Search comparative analysis cases according to the searching conditions. After a case is found
and selected, the comparative data will be displayed on the right side.

Image annotation

To mark the lesion position on the images, see picture below:

Two types of annotations: Mark on biopsy position (biopsy region) and patient image
annotation (patient image area).
 SOFTWARE OPERATION

Biopsy annotation method: Click the desired annotation at the right side of the biopsy
region, for example, click “M=Mosaic”, then move the cursor to the corresponding position
on the left image and click it, the annotation is added.

Self-defined biopsy position annotation method: Enter the self defined mark in the edit box
under the “User define” button, then click “User define” button, move the cursor to the
position corresponding to the left image, click it and the mark will be added to the position.

Patient image annotation method: Click the desired mark in the patient image, and add the
mark the same way as biopsy annotation.

NOTE: Click the two buttons at the lower left corner of the patient image, you can
browse images and add annotations to the selected image.

Measure
To enter measure function, see picture below:

Click the “Scale” and picture below will appear:

Click “Load Scale Image” and find the Scale Image:

Press the left key of the mouse at the start of the scale, drag the mouse and release the key
at the end of the scale, then pop up the following dialog:

Input the actual length of the scale.

Click the “Measure” Line: Measure the length of two dots. Area: Measure the area of region any
figure.

Process

To process the images, see picture below:

User can process the image by adjusting the value of brightness, contrast, red, Green and
blue.

If the user is not satisfied with the image that has been processed, please click “Revert”
button to revert it.

Six printing modes: “Two images Report”, “Three images Report”, “LEEP Operation
Report”, “Four Image Report”, “Single Image Report (small)”, “Four Small Images Report
(small)” and “Custom Images Report”.

Let’s take the following two-image printing mode as an example, first select “Two Images
Report”, click “OK”, the following interface pops up (single image or four-image
printing modes are similar):

Return to the patient search window.

5. “Case Manag.”

Click the button, the following window pops up:

The functions of “Short-cut Search” and “Power Search” are the same with those in “Report”
interface. After searching is completed, the interface changes to the following:

After a patient is selected in the left list, the patient information and image will appear
on the right.

Detail
The detailed diagnosis records of the current patient.

Insert Pic
Insert other significant image into the file.

Delete Pic
Delete the image currently displayed.

Save Pic
Save the current image to a new file.

Delete Case
Delete the current patient from the system.

6 “Data Manag.”

Click the button, the following interface will appear:

6.1 “Glossary Maintenance”

Click the button, the following interface pops up:

In this window, you can add, modify, delete, backup and restore the operations of “Check Glossary”,
“RCI Glossary” and “Impression Glossary”. The maintenance method is the same as “Check Glossary”.

In the ‘Check Glossary’ maintenance interface:

Add

Click the button, enter the new term and click ‘OK’, the new term will be added.

Delete

Delete the current selected term.

Modify

Modify the current selected term.

Backup Check

Backup the current check term.

Click the button, a dialog box will appear, please select the path and file name, then,
complete the backup.

Restore Check

Introduce the check term into the system. After click the button, a dialog box will appear.
Please select the backup file to be imported, and click “OK”, the backup is completed.

On the right side of the window, it is the typical atlas corresponding to the current term. If the
current term does not correspond to an atlas, there will be no image display.

6.2 “Backup and Restore”

Click the button, the following window will pop up:

Data Backup

Two ways of backup: “By Year” and “By Month” are provided.

Backup method: After select the backup and corresponding conditions, click “Start Backup”, the
file folders to be browsed pop up. User may specify the path to save the file, and click
“Confirm” to start data backup.

For example, to backup the data of year 2004 to driver “D”: After confirm, the backup
window will pop up and display the backup progress. After backup is completed, in the backup
file folder “2004”, there are two files: “2004.bak” and “sick data”, where “2004.bak” saves the
data records, and “sick data” saves the patient images.

Data Restore

There are two recovery methods “Restore from table” and “Restore from other positions”.

Restore from table: Select the file to be recovered from the table (e.g. 2004.bak), then click
“Start Restore”, the backup file will be imported in to the system.

Restore from other positions: Click “From…”, backup file dialog box will pop up. Select a
backup file (e.g.2004.bak), then, you can import it into the system.

Choose the range of people by age or check time.

Choose the query condition and click “OK”.

Click the button, the following window pops up:

Click “Add new” the following will popup:

Input the user’s name and password, select the user’s type then click “OK”.

Now, a new user has been added to the software successfully.

There are three types: “Doctor”, “Director” and “Manager”. Only the user whose type is
“Manager” can use the four buttons: “Add new”, “Delete”, “Modify”, and “Clear Psd”. The
other two types of users cannot use these four buttons.

Add new

Add a new user.

Delete

Delete the user who is selected in the user list.

Modify

Modify the user’s info and right who is selected in the user list.

Clear Psd

Clear the user’s password that is selected in the user list.

Change current user’s password

Change the user’s password that is using the software.

Input the old and the new password then click “OK”.

8 “System Setup”

Click the button, the following dialog box pops up:

8.1 “Data Setup”

Here there are two options: The local computer and the network computer. Select local
computer, the data will be saved in the local computer.

To setup network computer:

a) Select the computer in the network.

b) Enter the computer name in the “Computer” box.
c) Click the “Browse” button after “Image Path”, and set the path to save the images.
Generally, the installation path is set for the network computer, for example, the name of the
software installed in the file folder of “Borze” in the “sickdata” computer. The path is then:
“\\sickdata\Borze”.
d) Setup “Login” name and “Password”. If you are using Windows 2000 system, the default
login name is “administrator” and the password is blank.
e) After login, click “Test”. If the connection is successful, it will display “Connection
Succeed!” If connection fails, please check the network connection and the user name and
password.
8.2 “Capture Setup”

Image compression quality setup: There are three levels, “Best”, “Better” and “Normal”. User
may do the setup in accordance with its own disk capacity.

Capture Card Type: Select the matching card which the system is using.

Footswitch setup: Here, after select the “Use kick starter” you can set the footswitch image
capture method – capture image and freeze the image, or capture the image only.

Choose capture and freeze image: Activate the footswitch, an image will be captured and frozen.

Choose capture only: Image only will be captured but not frozen.

Terminal setup: To set the serial port number to connect the footswitch. Default setting is Serial
Communication Port No.3.

Capture card parameter setup: Press “Card Para.” -> “Parameter”, you can do real-time
adjustment in the window below.

In the window, you can set the software backup condition.

Exit the video colposcope system and return to Windows operating system.
