Some Dos and Don’ts

communicate anything with the tutor
• Do not use the class chat option while in the class

up

How can they make the best out of this?

• Be regular and punctual in attending the classes. As far as possible never

miss a class.
• Be attentive in the class, throughout.
• Utilize every opportunity to interact-answering questions asked, asking
questions, offering your ideas/ suggestions etc.
• Go beyond class notes: Textbook[NCERT and by other authors], guides.
This helps to learn through reflection by getting different perspectives
about the same concept/ topic. This makes learning deeper and profound.
• Practise through retrieval and by reading and writing.

Start off with your first topic – ONLY IF
TIME PERMITS
• Introduce the topic in an indirect way, using ‘known to unknown’, ‘simple
to complex’ and ‘example to generalization’
• Make sure to connect with real life situations
• See if you could have a brief talk why we should study this subject/ topic
• No need to rush or hurry up in the first class
• Give only the introduction and let them know that you could be in full
swing from the next class onward
• End with a positive note that you are going to make it easier and deeper
for them. They are going to enjoy their learning!
