Premise

Candy the witch is a trickster - she likes to make mischief almost as much as she likes to eat
candy!

One of candy’s latest tricks has gone awry… and now monsters are hiding all over the city! Can
you use Candy’s magical candy to find and defeat them?

Introduction

Candy Raid: Mahou Shoujo is an OSR-like game based on popular magical girl anime and
games. To play, you’ll need a pencil, several sheets of paper, and three six-sided dice. This
game is designed for three to seven players, plus a game master (or GM for short).

Character Creation

One of the most important parts of Candy Raid: Mahou Shoujo characters are “forms” - different
versions of the same person, before and after they’ve eaten some magical candy.

You begin the game with two forms: one as a simple schoolgirl, and one as a magical girl,
based on your choice of magical candy. Different types of candy, and thus different forms, can
be unlocked as you play the game.

Each form has six statistics - numbers that represent different aspects of your character while
you are in that form. These statistics are:

● Strength (STR)
● Smarts (SMA)
● Charm (CHA)
● Eyes (EYE)
● Hands (HND)
● Feet (FET)

Strength is how strong you are - not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Smarts
shows your intelligence, be it booksmarts, hyper focus on a subject, or your general knowledge.
Charm is how well you get along with people.

Eyes is how perceptive of the world you are, and how well you see things. Hands are how
dexterous you are, and how good you are at making things. Feet are how fast and athletic you
are.

Each form also has five aspects:


● Health Points (HP)
● Defence Points (DP)
● Magic Points (MP)
● Walking Points (WP)
● Sugar Points (SP)

These are used if you get into a fight.

Health points are how much damage you can take before losing your form (or falling
unconscious as a schoolgirl), defence points are how hard it is to hit you, magic points how
much magical power you have, walking points are how far you can travel on your turn, and
sugar points are how long you have before you lose your form and turn back into a schoolgirl.

First, let’s create your schoolgirl form. You begin the game as a super average schoolgirl - every
one of your statistics begins at 11 for your schoolgirl form! Don’t worry, these can change during
the game.

Your aspects as a schoolgirl are: 5 HP, 10 DP, 0 MP, 5 WP, 0 SP.

Now, let’s create your first magical girl form!

Start with a new sheet of paper - each sheet will have a different form on it.

For each statistic, roll three dice, then, choose the lowest dice rolled, and roll it again. These are
your statistics!
