Introduction

.Background and Rationale of the Study

The most beautiful faces of the world are touched by the magic of
makeup, but makeup is not necessary, face powder will make use to
enhance your natural beauty. The idea is to look presentable not a
painted one.
Face powder is a cosmetic product applied to the face to set a
foundation after application. It can also be applied throughout the
day to minimize shininess caused by oily skin. However, facial
powder is very expensive nowadays. Thus there’s a growing need for
alternative source of facial powder. Eggshell is one of the best
alternative facial powder. It is composed mainly of calcium
carbonate. Calcium carbonate has many uses namely: cement
mixing, dental plates, and most recently a research project aims to
use the neutralizing ability of calcium carbonate in making antacid.
Eggshell has one component that is responsible to whiten the skin
because of its feasibility to remove acids and absorbs oil from the
skin. They also contain essential minerals such as magnesium,
calcium and zinc which give them the property of absorbency,
adhesion, slipping which are all necessary for a high quality
homemade face powder.Eggshell is natural unlike with the cosmetic
powder which composed of different chemical materials that can
interact and harm our skin.(

Goals/Objectives

Generally, this study aims to find out if eggshell is effective to make

an alternative facial powder.
 Specifically this study aims to:
1.To find out the possibility of eggshell in making facial powder.
2.To find out if there will be a side effects in using eggshell.

Hypothesis
1.There is no possibility that eggshell is effective in making facial
powder.
2.There will be no side effects in using eggshell.

Significance of the Study

This study will be conducted to determine the effectiveness of
eggshell as alternative facial powder.The results of this study will
benefit the following:

Community. This study can give information to the community that

eggshell is very useful and enable them to have alternative facial
powder and to avoid the usage of cosmetic powder that can harm
the skin.
Resident/Members of the Society. This study can help us to convert
waste material into a productive one and will provide a cheaper,
available and easy to prepare natural facial powder to lessen their
financial expenses.
Future Researchers. This study will also beneficial to the future
researchers who are willing to improve this study, for the students
and for the people who wants to study and search for benefits on
affordable and available resources.

Scope and Delimitation

The study make use of only one kind of eggshell, the white one.
This study is to know if there will be a side effect in using eggshell as
an alternative facial powder. This project also focuses on the uses of
eggshell instead of being a waste that we throw but instead of a
new alternative material that can help us.
