Vigilance Consultancy is a research agency specialising in the field of substance misuse.

Our goal is to provide our clients with solution-focused data collection. We aim to create

 Qualitative Based Data Collection – Although we provide the quantitative data

needed for shareholders and funding bodies, we believe that research is more

impactful when it captures the experience of participants. People with substance

misuse issues are a marginalised group. We aim to give service users a voice

through our research.

 Solution Focused – When evaluating the findings of our research, we have one

question in mind; how can we contribute to make your service better? We also

offer a platform for creating action plans for future changes and can research

potential adjustments to services in controlled environments.

 Digitally Enhanced Data Projection – With a team specialised in areas of digital

Our Process

Consultancy & Planning – Typically, a client will approach us with a specific

question in mind. For example, it may be a treatment centre asking ‘how can we

improve our aftercare services?’ We will arrange a no-obligation consultancy

where we can begin to explore the issue in detail. During this phase we identify

the core research questions and specify the smaller goals for the report itself.

Following this, we will advise you on the most optimal methodological approach.

Once this has been completed we will provide you with a breakdown of

timescales, relevant sourcing and costing information.

Background & Research – This is where the bulk of the research is conducted.

As a research agency we will source participants, create controlled environments

and begin data-production. You will be kept updated regularly throughout this

process via any form of communication you specify. Once the findings are

presented, you will be informed of the initial results. At any time you may request

an update or summary report, to ensure we are adhering to your needs.

Reporting & Aftercare – Our research reports are where you will feel the true

value of our agency. Rather than having to produce time consuming documents to

take to directors and fund committees, we provide professional reports that are

ready to go for your deadlines. We can also offer web-based data displays and full

presentations if needed. All of our research projects are bespoke and tailor-made

to suit your service’s needs. We also focus on taking your service forward after

conducting research and can run additional testing on areas highlighted during the

research.
