INTRODUCTION

Developing a new product for the public is never an easy undertaking. People nowadays find

something new to their taste. In addition, Filipinos are very popular when it comes to serving different

desserts and sweets. The proponents believe that they have found one of those products that will make an

impact and ultimately be successful to the Philippine market called, raindrop cake. Mizu shingen mochi

also known as Raindrop cake is a gelatin-like made using agar-agar clear, animal product-free version of

gelatin. This raindrop cake gives people a refreshing feel when they taste it and has different varieties of

flavors that would create a sweetness and affordable impact to the costumers. The main goal of the research

is to provide the quality, reasonably priced product in the industry.

The raindrop cake, or mizu shingen mochi, is supposedly a variant of rice cake, originally made

with pristine water from the Japanese Alps and solidified using granulated sugar, agar (a jelly like

substance), and soybean powder.

Most people have an affinity for sweets. It is common to give in to their cravings to satisfy their

own sweet tooth. There are arrays of sugar-filled products that can do the job, from pastries to candies to

chocolates. To say Filipinos have a sweet tooth. For special occasions, something sweet must always be on

the table. It would be an understatement because every region boasts its own sweet dessert recipe. After

every meal and during mirienda time (break), the average Filipino take traditional snack, which is

commonly a sweet delicacy.

since this year 2018-2022 of Mizu Shingen Mochi was increase every year of
20%.

D.2 Market Share

Seeing that the raindrop cake business in the market of the Philippines is just starting and

not that recognized, there are only few competitors and businesses that offers this product

although both of them offers different content. Usually these raindrop cakes only made in home

and because of that, the market share of the raindrop cake is 0.5% the data is based on

abcnews.go.com. This indicated that there is an existence of raindrop cake in the food history.

The researchers’ objective is to widen the market shares of raindrop cakes.

D.3 Market Prices

Market prices is a unique price at which buyers and sellers agree to trade in an open
market at a particular time. In formal markets (such stock exchanges), there are two market
prices: the offer (selling) price, which is higher, and bid (buying) price that is lower. The
difference between these two prices is called margin or spread.

Pricing might not be as glamorous as promotion, but it is the most important decision a
marketer can make. Price is important to marketers because it represents marketers' assessment
of the value customers see in the product or service and are willing to pay for a product or
service. The actual price of plane raindrop cake is Php10.00 per piece while the flavored
raindrop cake is Php15.00 prices vary because of the ingredients that are used in the product.
D4. Investment Cost
The business has the investment cost of Php90, 000.00. The proponents decided to share
the amount of Php10, 000.00 each to cover the cost of the project and expenses.

D5. Method of Financing

Finance is the lifeblood of business. Every business enterprise requires finance to start its
operations, to carry on its activities and to expand and grow. The availability of finance
determines the size and scale of operations of any business. Proper use of funds is necessary for
profitable working and sound health of the business. Adequate funds enable a business enterprise
to buy the necessary assets and to meet its liabilities in time. Thus, financing is the process of
planning, acquiring, utilizing and controlling the funds used in any kind of business. Therefore
financing decisions are those day-to-day decisions about how to obtain funds for the business
and when obtained, how to use them efficiently. It includes investing the capital.

The researchers shared the same amount of investment since the business start in small
share as well as the decision-making and the contribution of work.
