MYSTERIUM FIDEI
Based on the Article that I just read “Mysterium Fidei” means it is the Mystery of Faith
or the ineffable gift of the Eucharist that the Catholic Church received from Christ. Mysterium
fidei is that it is the clarification and direction concerning the doctrine and the wordship of the
eucharist. The introduction says that when treating the liturgy considered nothing to be more
important than urging the faithful to participate actively and with sound faith and with utmost
devotion in the celebration of this most holy mystery, Its purpose was to counter certain
theological movements or to emphasize the centrality of the Eucharistic in the Catholic Church.

A priest can only do a mass because they are blessed by the power of the church called
priest ordination. The Mass is the prayer of the Body of Christ in the world to the Father through
Jesus Christ His and in the Holy Spirit. Why do we stop after the consecration to speak to Jesus?
Because He is now present on the altar. We pause to greet him by means of the
acclamationReceiving the Eucharist is one of the most important things we can do as a catholic.
Holy Communion is the most important of all the sacraments. It completes the Sacraments of
Initiation. The bread and wine we receive at communion is the body and blood of Jesus. It
becomes the bread and body of Jesus through Transubstantiation. We participate in the
sacrament of communion to remember all that Jesus did for us and getting secured to a cross so
we can be free from sin and have eternal life in heaven. The essence of going to a Mass is by
listening to the words of God and understands the meaning of each word. It is important to
believe especially when the priest proclaims the mystery of faith because here priest shows the
transubstantiation of bread into the body of Christ and wine to the blood of Christ. We listen to
the priest because they are called the second Christ because they are re-enacting the way that
Christ did during the last supper

As a Christians, we go to mass because we want to be blessed by the word of God and to

receive His body and blood as a sign of pouring our minds and our hearts. So in summary, this
lesson points out that Christ is truly a mediator and it is the priest during mass. Because priests is
the way to mold everyone of us to become a truly son of God. Holy Spirit is within us everyday.
They are our guide and it serves as to turn up our minds to honor and to worship God.
