2 Start up AutoID Network Navigator.

Double click the "AutoID Network Navigator" shortcut on


the desktop.

Install AutoID Network Navigator Ver. 4.20 or later on the


computer on which you will set up N-L20.

4 Connecting and Setting up the Code Reader
Select either step 1-1 or 1-2.
Align the BL-1300 communication settings with the N-L20.
■For the SR-700 Series

1 Connect N-L20 and the SR-700 Series. Press the


head connection button and select SR-700.
1-1 Print the Change All BL-1300 Communication
Settings Barcode in Chapter 8 , and follow the
procedure to read it.

1-2 Align the N-L20 head RS-232C settings (settings


list) with the BL-1300 initial communication
settings, and send the settings.

Connect N-L20 and the BL-1300 Series. Press the


2 head connection button and select BL-1300.

2 was successful. Configure the SR-700 settings.
* The read screen cannot be displayed when settings are
configured via N-L20.

When the message below is shown the connection


3 was successful. Configure the BL-1300 settings.
* AGC cannot be lifted and tuning cannot be performed
using AutoID Network Navigator. To perform tuning, use
N-UB or N-R2 and AutoID Navigator.

■Checking the code reader works


Open the terminal and send a command such as a LON
command to check that it works.

6 PLC Link Error Troubleshooting 8 Change All BL-1300 Communication Settings Barcode

PLC link errors occur when the PLC cannot receive commands 㻺㼛㻚㻝㻌㻔㻾㼑㼍㼐㻌㼎㼍㼞㼏㼛㼐㼑㻌㻺㼛㻚㻌㻝㻌㼒㼕㼞㼟㼠㻚㻕
from N-L20 normally.
Check the following three things.

• Check the communication pathway 㻺㼛㻚㻞


Check that the cables are connected, the connector tab is
not bent, the Ethernet HUB power is on, etc.
• Check settings
Check that the settings are the same as those listed in the
user manual. Press the TEST button of the BL-1300 Series to read the quick
• Check the specified address setup bar code. The procedure is as follows:
