Lesson Overview:
Students will discuss types of tourism, and reflect on both, positive and negative effects of tourism in our
communities. They will determine the causes and solutions to encourage safe and beneficial tourism
practices and activities for all.

TEACH
1. Students will read articles # 2 and 3 in pairs. They will take note
of new vocabulary and expressions related to the theme (ex. “la
gallina de los huevos de oro”)
2. They will discuss the new concept “Turismo de masas” and
individually underline/write questions of the ideas/concepts they
don’t understand in the articles.
3. As a class group and guided by the teacher, they will find and
write the answers to those questions.
4. They will discuss the negative effects of “el turismo de masas”.
