News Briefs The Pastoral Cluster welcomed the New
Year with a recollection on “Healing and Deliverance: Breaking
Family Curses” with Bro. Paolo Totus Tuus Maria, OATH. The
recollection was participated in by 23 Couple Coordinators (CC) and
Assistant Couple Coordinators and members of the Counseling and
Healing Ministry, Emmaus, Solo Parents, and Youth Ministry as well as
the Liturgy CC, and DCS of Pastoral and Management clusters. Bro.
Paolo was assisted by three of his brothers who lead the opening/
closing prayers, praise and ice breaker songs. Scriptural and
catechetical explanations were provided on the topic in relation to the
Sacraments and Catholic traditions.
 —The Youth Ministry (YM) resumed its Saturday Worship Service on
12 January 2019  the Singles Min. held the Singles Night on 5 January
2019 at the Eusebio’s residence; the Singles also resumed their WSC
at DSSTCJ on 12 January 2019, and on every Saturday afternoon,
instead of Wednesday night . . . Solo Parents WSC and meeting is
scheduled on 24 February 2019; Recollection for Solo parents will be
on 17 March 2019 . .
Counseling and Healing Ministry (CHM) Word Sharing Circle is every
Monday at Room1 DSSTCJ. The CHM went on a visit to the PGH
Psychiatry Department on 8 Feb 2019 for the Program on Mental
Health and Wellness (Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action). A memo of
agreement (MOA) will be drafted among PGH, UPLB-OSA, and BLD/
DSSTCJ. The PGH will provide the biological component, UPLB
student organizations through OSA will be in charge of the social part,
while the BLD and DSSTJ will provide the spiritual side.
Still on CHM, plans are being drawn for the video and live streaming
via Facebook the CWS and Emmaus Worship for the elders and
members abroad. Needed for this is the purchase of a video camera.
The video camera will be used in documenting the series of seminars,
teachings, CWS and Emmaus worship for live streaming and for the
library purposes of materials produced.
MANAGEMENT CLUSTER . . . The Service Ministry (SM) regularly meets
every Friday for their WSC. During Corporate Worship,
everyone is encouraged to wear their BLD ID. Those Community/ Venue
who forget to wear IDs are enjoined to give a donation
of P20 to add to BLD funds . . SM has assigned St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Bgy. Every 1st, 2nd and 4th
usherettes to guide the members to the pews during Pulo, Cabuyao Laguna

Min needs more male members on CWS days to help

during teaching and learning events. Cluster reports for the DLC
meetings will be provided online to go paperless and minimize cost of
printing. Plans are being drawn to digitize printed BLD publications,
handouts, etc.
FORMATION CLUSTER. Teaching on Basics of Prayer was held on 27
January 2019 at the residence of Orly & Juvy Basio, Calamba City.
Speakers were J. Alger, L. Gaspar, M. Delos Reyes. The participants
were members of ME Class No. 28 . . Growth in Prayer was held on 3
February 2019, 1-5 pm at the Chapel of the Risen Christ, Putho-
Tuntungin for ME Class #27 from Putho and Calauan. Teachers were
Minda Cueno, Bebe Menguito, Jun Catalan and Senen Escamos.
Teachers Development Program (TDP) for BLD Lucena Teachers-in-
Process & Instructors was held on 3 February 2019, Lucena City. Vini
Cadiz headed the teaching. Twenty-seven covenanted members
attended.
