Alok Industries

Alok was established in 1986 as a private limited company, with its first polyester texturising
plant being set up in 1989. It became a public limited company in 1993. Over the years, it has
expanded into weaving, knitting, processing, home textiles and garments. And to ensure quality
and cost efficiencies, it has integrated backward into cotton spinning and manufacturing partially
oriented yarn through the continuous polymerization route. It also provides embroidered
products through Grabal Alok Impex Ltd., its associate company.

- That is how it has evolved into a diversified manufacturer of world-class home textiles,
garments, apparel fabrics and polyester yarns, selling directly to manufacturers, exporters,
importers, retailers and to some of the world’s top brands.

- Alok has recently entered the domestic retail segment through a wholly owned subsidiary, Alok
Retail India Limited, with a chain of stores named ‘H&A’ that offer garments and home textiles at
attractive price points.

- It has also ventured into the realty space through wholly owned subsidiaries with investments
in some prestigious projects in Mumbai.

Shahi exports

Shahi - started in 1974 at Delhi, Bangalore operations began on 1st July 1988 with 250
associates and 104 machines it manufactures 3 million pc of high quality woven & knits per
month and catering to all segments in the apparel industry. A whooping over 2 million square
feet for woven/knits and it manufactures 1 million pc of per month of knits & 2 million pc per
month of woven. The manufacturing units are located in Delhi, Bangalore, Tripura and Salem.
Its core strength is Product Development & Design Inputs supported by their in-house studio
and its offices in US & Europe.
Pratibha syntax pvt ltd

It is an integrated textile company involved in cotton farming, spinning, knitting, dyeing and
garment manufacturing, having an annual turnover of USD 125 million. They have their export
house and a self-sufficient technological set up. Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd., a part of the well-
diversified Vikram Group, launched its operations in the year 1997. It is based at Pithampur
Industrial Area near Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Central India. They have organic cotton fields of
60000 Acres, Spinning Unit having 48000 spindles, 3000 Rotors, Airjet Yarns and Knitting and
Garment units. They produce 70 Tons of yarn, 20 Tons of Knitted Fabric & 100 thousand pieces
of garments per day.

Arvind mills

The Arvind Mills Limited has set up a State of the Art Garment factory in Bangalore for
manufacturing tops primarily for Export Purposes. This factory is the outcome of the strong
vision of Arvind Mills to expand vertically into Garmenting as a natural progression based on its
strength in fabrics. This factory has been put up in Technical Collaboration with an Italian
Apparel Consultancy firm CF ITALIA. CF Italia specializes in Apparel manufacturing and also
technical consultancy. The salient features of the factory are as follows:

Madhura Garments Export Ltd.

Madura Garments Exports Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Nuvo focusing on
garment exports. It is an integrated player in the apparel industry with interest in manufacturing
exports of woven, knits and Full Service Provider business.

The company has modern manufacturing facilities and caters to customers like Marks &
Spencer, Next, Tommy Hilfiger and Menswear House. The organization delivers service from
design to delivery of merchandise at the customer warehouse.
