Procedure /steps for the execution of the project:

1. G+5 residential building with shear walls are drawn in the tool with all the
details starting from the beams, columns, walls, windows & door space,
staircase and so on (all to the actual scale)
2. Model is analysed for different loading conditions as per IS 456:2000
3. Structure is checked for its shear force and bending moment for all the parts
individually and corrected for beam and column sizes
4. Fixing the dimensions of beams and column sizes for the complete structure
5. Frame structure of G+5 was analysed as a beam element using ANSYS for 5-6
important loading conditions to get the deflections values
6. Find the worst deflection condition and its location to proceed further
7. Detailed wall design of EPS in rectangular shape mesh and grouting on both
sides along with the cross-tie bars are modelled using ANSYS pre-processor
8. Model is meshed, applied boundary & loading conditions and analysed for the
all critical cases
a. Boundary conditions remain constant for the loading cases
b. Loads are applied as per the code
9. Solve and get the deflection pattern in the wall at different locations for all the
loading conditions (5 simulations)
10.Check and conclude the critical loading conditions and maximum deflection
location
11.Repeat Step 7 to 10 for by changing the tie bar spacing (5 simulations)
12.Detailed wall design of EPS in corrugated shape mesh and grouting on both
sides along with the cross-tie bars are modelled using ANSYS pre-processor (5
simulations)
13.Repeat step 8 to 10 to analyse the EPS corrugated wall and to find the critical
loading and maximum deflection location (5 simulations)
14.Step 12 & 13 is repeated with change of tie bar spacing
15.For the above-mentioned analysis for EPS of rectangle & corrugated shape by
changing the tie bars spacing, we will be summarizing and concluding the worst
loading conditions along with the locations
16.Also, optimal results according to tie bar spacing are reported
17.From the concluded summary, we will be performing again simulation for open
wall of rectangle & corrugated EPS by using optimal tie bar spacing and critical
loading condition.
18.We will be providing a detailed report regarding
a. EPS rectangle shape with tie bar spacing 1
b. EPS rectangle shape with tie bar spacing 2
c. EPS corrugated shape with tie bar spacing 1 Every model will be having 5
d. EPS corrugated shape with tie bar spacing 2 to 6 critical loading conditions
(simulations)
19.Testing of Specimen Wall Portions of EPS Systems
a. Plain Wall without any openings or internal conduits
b. Wall with openings of Door and Window with internal Electrical Conduits,
Water Pipe lines
