Task Analysis for how to setup a website

1. Go to www.weebly.com
2. What is weebly.com?
2.1 Weebly is website builder.
3. Benefits of using Weebly
3.1 Easy to use
3.2 Great template selection
3.3 It’s free
4. Click on sign-up to get started. Enter your first and last name followed by your email and
password. The password you create must consist of at least one letter and one number
(example: johnnyapple1). Then click the sign up for free button.
5. Now you will choose a theme of your choice for your website and start editing it.
6. The next page will ask you to choose your domain name. You can skip this portion for
now and exit out. This now takes you to editing your website.
7. You are now ready to build your own website! All steps are complete.

1 Hi, Welcome to the “How
to Create a Website”
tutorial. Weebly is a free
website builder that
allows anybody to build
their own website quickly
and with ease.

2 Today, I will be showing

you how to set up your
own website. Weebly is a
website creating tool to
use for different things. It
can be used to promote
business, sell products, or
even used for
professional
development.
 Teachers can use a
website as another
avenue to connect with
students and parents,
share ideas, and
announce important
information.

3 To create a website, you

will start by going to
www.weebly.com. Once
you type in the URL, click
on the sign-up icon.

4 The next page you see will

ask you about your
website preference. Click
on the just need a
website icon. This option
will be more suitable for
what we are trying to
accomplish.
5 Now you will choose a
theme of your choice for
your website and start
editing it if you like your
theme.

6 The next page will ask you

to choose your domain
name. It will be best to
choose a subdomain
name with weebly
branding on your website.
This option is free. You
will now be led to the
editing page.
7 This is the editing page of
your website. Here you
can set things up the way
you would like for them
to be shown on your
website. Let’s learn about
some of the basic tools
for building your site.

8 The basic tools I would

like to show you how to
operate are the title, text,
and image tool. Also, the
pages and theme tabs at
the top of the home page.
9 The title tool allows you
to create a title or you
can simply click on the
title already listed and
make changes that way.
The text tool allows you
to add text to your page.
This can be done by
moving the text tool to
the text or title tool to the
page.
10 The image tool allows you
to upload images from
your computer or images
offered through the
website. You will move
the tool to the page and
upload.

11 Now we will learn about

the pages tool. The pages
tool allows you to add
pages to your website.
Once you click on it, you
will be able to give that
page a title. Once you are
done, it will appear at the
top of your home page.
Also, you can edit this
page the same way you
edited the home page.
14 Lastly, if you want to
change your theme, just
click on the theme tab.
This will give you the
same options you had in
the beginning of the
tutorial.

15 Congratulations! You
have just created your
website. Good luck!
