SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Every student enrolled in SNHS should abide by the following School Rules and Regulations:
1. Attend classes, school programs and activities promptly.
2. Wear the prescribed uniform in classroom, laboratory, shop, PE, with proper ID.
3. Be neat and clean and maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, walls and grounds.
4. Be courteous and polite to teachers, administrators, school personnel and visitors.
5. Observe traffic rules by keeping right while passing along the corridor.
6. DO NOT cheat during examination.
7. DO NOT destroy or deface any school property (vandalism)
8. DO NOT jump over the fence.
9. DO NOT steal any school property and valuable of others.
10. DO NOT tamper or forge school records, document, official notice and announcements on bulletin boards,
steamers, ID’s and teacher’s signature.
11. DO NOT came to school under the influence of liquor.
12. DO NOT smoke, gamble or bet in any form inside the school campus.
13. DO NOT get involved in violence, argue or any kind that assaulting and inflating harm towards any students,
employee, teachers and person in authority.
14. DO NOT join fraternity/ sorority or recruit to join.
15. DO NOT possess obscene or immoral literature and do immoral acts and the like.
16. DO NOT carry or use explosives or deadly weapons, or use or push illegal drugs.

In addition to the rules and regulations mentioned above, refrain form:

1. Extortion or asking money from others

2. Instigating, leading or participating in nonsense activities leading to disruption of classes
3. Using different gadgets like cellular phones, i-pad, PSP, etc. during class hours
4. Going to restricted area, plaza, recreation centers, and internet shops during class hours
5. Selling stolen goods in schools
6. Sitting on tables and standing on benches
7. Writing undesirable things on a fellow students’ books and notebooks
8. Borrowing items/money without returning the same
9. Spending for personal use of funds entrusted to him/her
10. Refusing to obey a student leader when the latter is discharging his/her duty or representing an authority
11. Disrespecting the national flag and singing the national anthem
12. Spitting on stairs and corridors
13. Chewing of bubble gum inside the school during class hour and placing a bubble gum on chair, walls, etc.
14. Putting make-up, lotion and lipstick during class hour
15. Urinating elsewhere or in appropriate places
16. Voyeurism
17. Not informing or giving letter for the parents
18. Roaming inside the school campus and staying around in the canteen or elsewhere during class hours
19. Bullying in any form

Disciplinary Actions
The class Adviser handles routine disciplinary cases by taking appropriate actions. (1st and 2nd offense for minor
sanction and 1st offense for grave sanction)
 PENALTY:
a. Oral warning and written reprimand. The violator shall be reminded on his/her misbehaviour and shall sign
on the behaviour contact together with his/her parent/guardian. The case should be recorded in the
confidential log book.
b. Probationary. The violator shall be required to undergo therapy. There are two types of therapy: the school
therapy and home therapy. In school therapy, the student shall be given school tasks that aim to develop
his/her sense of responsibility, moral character and personal discipline under the supervision school discipline
officer, master teacher and class adviser. On the other hand, home therapy shall be given to student who
needs parental guidance. He/she shall be given tasks that aim to develop his/her intra personal skills under
the supervision of school discipline officer, master teacher, class adviser and parents/guardians.

Grave Offense. The offenses punishable by suspension or expulsion depending on the seriousness of the offense.
 Gross misconduct
 Cheating and stealing
 Assaulting a teacher or any other school authority or his agents or students
 Smoking inside the school premises
 Vandalism, writing on destroying school property like chairs, tables, windows, books, laboratory equipment and
others
 Gambling of any sort
 Drinking intoxicants and liquor
 Carrying and concealing deadly weapons
 Extortion or asking money from others
 Fighting causing injury to others
 Using, possessing, and selling of prohibited drugs
 Hazing in any form or manner whether inside or outside the school premises
 Immorality or sexual harassment
 Instigating, leading or participating in concerned activities leading of stoppage of classes
 Preventing, threatening students or faculty members or school authorities from discharging their duties or from
attending classes or entering school premises
 Forging or tampering of school records or transfer forms
Minor Offense. The minor offenses or infractions of good discipline to school rules and regulations are the following:
 Absenteeism, cutting of classes and tardiness
 Failure to wear prescribe uniform
 Wearing of cap and the like inside the school building specially inside the classroom
 Wearing of earrings for the boys and more than a pair of earrings for the girls, outlandish hairstyle, hair colours for
the boys, painting of tattoo, over accessories and body piercing
 Patronizing suspected prostitution den, gambling and pornographic places
 Using profane language to insult others
 Littering (plastic cups, bottles, candy wrappers or any waste) inside the classroom and corridors
 Loitering and staying inside or outside the school during class hours
 Bringing, using and selling of pornographic materials
 Using different gadgets like cellular phones, i-pad, PSP, etc. during class hours
 Public display of affection (PDA) like holding hands, hugging, kissing, necking, petting and fondling
 Unruly behaviour during assemblies, religious services etc.
 Going to restricted area, plaza, recreation centers, and internet shops during class hours
 Selling stolen goods in school
 Refusal to display school ID prominently and placing stickers and other objects on school ID
 Sitting on tables and standing on benches
 Writing or drawing on a fellow students’ books and notebooks
 Borrowing items/money without returning the same
 Spending for personal use of funds entrusted to him/her
 Refusing to obey a student leader when the latter is discharging his/her duty or representing an authority
 Irresponsible playful like pulling chair away when one is about to sit; hiding someone’s property; blocking another’s
path, etc.
 Jumping over the fence
 Disrespectful to the national flag and singing national anthem
 Spitting elsewhere
 Chewing of bubble gum inside the school during the class hour and placing a bubble gum on chairs, walls, etc.
 Putting make up, lotion and face powder during class hour
 Urinating elsewhere or in appropriate places
 Voyeurism
 Not informing or giving letter to parents
 Bullying in any form

PENALTY:

b. Suspension. The violator may be suspended for a fixed period. It will be recorded in the student’s anecdotal record.
c. Expulsion. The violator shall be banned on enrolment in this school or his right to avail free education in SNHS is
terminated.
