Jankidevi Public School has an expertise in providing the exact amalgamation for the
students’ overall development.

Jankidevi Public School is an architectural marvel and a colorful imposing landmark

at Four Bungalows, Andheri (West). It is a hub where activity oriented education along
with curricular and extra-curricular activities provides a happy environment full of
enriching experiences. Jankidevi Public School also has a strong P.Ed. department
which caters to different sports need of it’s students. Football, Basketball, Lawn Tennis,
Hockey are some of the outdoor activities, with Table Tennis, Carom and Chess being
the indoor activities. JPS has added yet another feather to its cap by introducing the
Cricket Australia programme in affiliation with Cricket Australia. JPS has two swimming
pools and two all weather turf grounds where students can be seen enjoying the facility
to their hearts content.

Jankidevi Public School initiated ‘MERAKI’- an Annual Sports Event in the year 2016,
and has gained two-fold popularity since then. ‘MERAKI’ deriving from the Greek
phrase meaning ‘something you put your soul into’ holds true. This event is an epitome
of resilience, grit and perseverance. The annual event provide vast opportunities to the
students in the form of competition for games such as Chess, Table Tennis, Throwball,
Swimming, Handball, Football, Basketball etc.

Pierre de Coubertin founder of the modern Olympic Games said, “The important thing
in the Olympic games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not
conquering but fighting well.”

With a foundation of excellence, JPS continues to provide the platform to enhance all
co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

GEnERAL RULES TO BE FOLLOWED:-
The enrollment of schools in various events should be done between 25th and 29thJune,
2019, at Jankidevi Public School. Timings:10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
1. Submission of entries can also be confirmed by email.
2. The enrollment fees can be paid in cash or by pay order. Payments made by pay
order should be in favour of ‘Jankidevi Public School.’
3. All participating schools must report to the venue at 8:00 am on 16th & 17th August,
2019,
respectively.
4. Participants must carry their school ID cards.
5. Only teachers must accompany the students. no parent will be allowed in
the school premises.
6. The decisions taken by the judging officials whould be final and binding.
7. Disciplinary action will be taken against students indulging in any kind of misconduct
/ malpractice. The participating school will be held responsible for the same.
8. Any school walking out of the competition or disrespecting the Prize Distribution
Ceremony will be fined Rs. 1000/- and action will be taken against the participants.
9. Age group should be filled as per the details given on page no: 18.

1. The event is organized towards promoting Sports and seeking aspiring talents.

2. Participants will have to play in the true spirit of the game.

3. The event will be as per the date mentioned. In case of lack of time, the time or the days may
be extended or changed, depending on the organizers discretion.

4. Matches will be played on as per a 5 on 5 plus format with 3 reserves.

5. All the participants must maintain discipline or else they shall be debarred from the event.
The organizers have the right, not to provide any refund or explanation for the same. Rules
and regulations not mentioned here would also be considered / implied and shall be informed
orally, if any. Jankidevi Public School will not be responsible for any injuries or untoward
happening to the participants, although due care and precaution will be taken.

6. In all eventualities, the referee’s decision would be final.

7. A coach will be allowed with the team only if the name of the person is mentioned in the form.

8. The playing halves and time will be informed on the day of the event.

9. Protests will be accepted with a fee of Rs. 1000/-, which will be non-refundable.

10. Wearing safety gear and shin-guards is mandatory.

11. No change of names will be allowed once forms are submitted.

12. Entries will not be accepted after the last date.

13. Each player will have to carry photo identification and date of birth proof for every match,
and details given in the form should match with the ID cards or else the player can be
debarred from the event.
